If there just sprouts just pitch them to be safe. You can always start new ones. I would suggest maybe moving before you start again. Gl man

I would have thought the answer is YES.

IMO get rid of your plants to somewhere else for now.

If they only sprouted last week they shouldn't be too big just yet. So easy enough to move.

Anyone you could leave them with?

Is your climate outside warm enough for them to spend a little time outdoors?

Clean your kit with a 10% bleach solution incase of aroma and put it all away.

Wait for the visit and then get back on it. *edit* actually you are renting so I wouldn't bother.

When you own your own home you know who's coming and when.

If the sprouts are in small containers, just put them in the fridge- maybe inside a plastic or paper bag. They'll be fine for a little while and it's airtight.

I'm guessing if they really wanted to catch someone, they would not have let you know ahead of time. What I'm hearing in the rental community, especially for buildings that charge for the electricity in the rent- sudden spikes upward often point to growers in the building. They aren't trying to catch anyone, they just want the activity to stop.

Get them out of the house. If they smell something residual, you don't want them to find anything on a more detailed search.

But WTF happened to civil rights. What will happen to someone with a personal stash!

On one hand so close to ending the prohibition insanity, and then this type of shit on the other!

If you have a washer/dryer in the place, just stick them in there. The landlord has every right to inspect the premises, it's in every lease these days.

Actually, while thinking about, I doubt they will bring a dog on a sniffing tour. Think about it some. Why tell everyone????? The cops, if they are involved, would never let him give advanced notice. Stop worrying, but clean all bongs/pipes/ash trays cause they smell much worse then baby plants.

Well I would not smoke for a good few days because if the dog 'confirms' cannabis at your address the cops could rip your house apart. All the best.

I have to admit, I am constantly amazed at questions on this board....

If the risk outweighs the reward, you drop out. Getting busted with some little plants, where you could not only go to jail, but at the very least get kicked out of your apt, is just the height of stupidity.

I am personally divided on giving you an answer. For me I would chunk that shit right out and let things calm down. At the same time, the more idiots who get busted and taken out of the game is less competition for real growers.

the supreme court ruled that a sniffing dog can not be used unless there is probable cause. Even Scalia backed that one. If they bring a dog outside your house and the dog alerts, then they can not use any of the evidence they would collect in the case if their basis for collecting such evidence is the dog alerting. Simply suspecting a house might have pot is not a valid reason to have probable cause to bring a dog to your doorstep.

there is most likely a lot of criminal activity going on throughout the entire building he said theyre searching EVERYONE not just him.

Yeah, seedlings don't smell, especially not enough to be detected by people out in the hall.

They smelled you smoking out, or someone else in the building growing or smoking, or both.
