Random bag seeds

Hey I used to grow hydro. They were random seeds from what I remember. Then summer came so I stopped. Anyway the question is what is the best way to identify a strain before or after it grows?

Take it to a lab for genetic testing

about a pound

Is that for real?

well if you get about a pound take it to the lab, how the fuck else are you supposed to know what it is if there is no genetic testing

why dont you just buy some new strains and cull the bagseed.

If it is from brick, it is likely an unruly outdoor sativa. If it came from good weed, it is likely a hermie prone seed. You never really know though. It could be just about anything. Why not spend twenty bucks on a pack of nirvana or kc brains. I bet that may be cheaper than lab testing. I have no clue how much that costs.

Chemdawg came from seed from unknown smoke at a Grateful Dead concert.Nobody has any idea of its genetics prior to that first plant. But it's expensive to grow any pot and seeds are the cheapest part of it. Buy good feminized or even regular seed from reputable breeders.

Practice with bag seed then go for high caliber genetics. Shit I found a nice dominant lemon and grape pheno in swag bag seed. Good luck and Welcome to RIU.

That's what I'm going to do I don't want to risk buying it over the internet it's illegal where I live
