while condescending to students at historically black colleges, ol' opossum head strung off a few carefully constructed lies, as he is known for.

he claimed he introduced a bill to "repeal mandatory minimums" when his bill did nothing of the sort. it gave the option of assigning lesser sentences. so instead of 20 years for some arbitrary number of plants, a judge could see to it that you only get 8 years instead.

profiles in courage, folks.

nevermind that the vast majority of those who face prison for drugs are not even subject to mandatory minimums, so his boasting rings mostly hollow.

don't let this guy fool ya, he is all for the drug war. he makes that clear whenever he goes to cater to evangelicals instead of condescending to blacks.

Quite right, there is no difference spending 55 years in prison instead of 18, they are the same number, duh!!

So you figured that anyone who doesn't attempt to try and dismantle the entire drug and DEA system in totality all at once, as just wanting to continue the drug war? You must have hit your head. How many people would vote for such a bill? None? Yep, none.

so much for rend pawl being a "libertarian".

"out of 50 governors and 100 U.S. senators, not a single one has announced support for full legalization, even in Colorado and Washington, which have already passed laws legalizing the sale of recreational marijuana."

even after endorsing ritt momney over his own daddy in 2012, he still gets no love whatsoever.

rend pawl is he who will never be president, just like his daddy.

Are libertarians by default against the drug laws? Or are they by default for legalizing drugs? Do you even know?
anyone who is even half-libertarian should be in favor of legalizing cannabis.

rend pawl is not in favor of legalizing cannabis.

I wish you would show some consistency, Marie. One day you are the biggest cheer leader for DEA raids, and the next you pretend to oppose the drug war. Which is it?
