Raining in CA

Man its raining here in CA I was like wtf is up with this crazy weather..
How are you guys with the big plants or more amount of plants covering them up so they wont get wet? It must suck being up at night trying to cover them up huh?

where you at in cali? I see alot of clouds here in shasta.

I'm in the 559, I let my babies get rained on last night, let them get a nice rinse off, since I've been using Caterpillar Killer spray, got up and gave them a good shake off. they look good, and I'm glad I forgot to water them yesterday lol

I see that you are also having problems with caterpillars, I had a little problem with them a few weeks back to care of it tho...

Your not worried that your buds with get mold on them from the rain?

Your lucky, I seen your grow and I was thinking about you, about how you would go about covering them up

i use clear plastic. you can build framework with PVC. it's cheap and easy to work with.

I just put up some canopies and leave the tops on them. When it rains I put them over the plants
The first time I got rain and didn't have anything to cover my plants will be my last!

yeah thats a good idea. Seems your prepared for it already. I bet some people on here in CA didnt know it was going to rain and got caught them by surprise.

i keep a close eye on the 10 day forecast. it's usually pretty accurate.

That seems like a great idea. Cheap and easy

i have a bucket full of different angled fittings and a pile of pipe. i don't use glue so i can pull it all apart and reuse it as needed.

I also keep a eye on the forecast just to be on the safe side...

It stopped raining here where im at it clearing up hope it stays that way

yesterday we had sprinkles for about 5 mins. it looked like rain clouds. i think it was just some random thick fog that fromed into a mini cloud. the sun came out 10 mins afterward.

that was a relief I bet?.. Looks like its going to rain Wed again.

If you shake your plants to rid them of excess moisture, they are usually ok unless you already have a mold problem.

I'm in the 209, and have never covered a plant or lost buds to mold, because of rain.

no I'm not scared about getting mold, I know its possible, but I just shake them and so far so good. It didn't pour here, just a light rain. I'm just 15 miles south of 209
