yes they did turn me in.

they came a week ago, he seen my op and then he came back this morning with his boss. they asked to come inside to check the meter under the kitchen sink. i said thats weird why? they said well we need to make sure the frozen pipe didnt lead to a broken meter. then the boss asked my last name and shit. it was obvious why they came today. i actually was expecting to see cops after the water dept left. i certainly didnt think itd be that fast:)

That's actually how it is here in Oregon. OMMP has you register your address where the grow is located as well as the number of plants you maintain, and who you maintain them for (if a co-op). I think it is a "grass is greener" situation. On one hand, the grower information staying private puts LEO in the position of approaching every grow as a potentially bad situation for everyone involved. On the other hand, having the information accessible by LEO could put legal growers under the microscope if their license lapses or for the Federal DEA should want to bust your door down.

This is why we need to be pushing for legalization. Then they have to prove you are growing more than law permits for before getting the warrant. Proof of that would be difficult over time as states begin to lose cases in court.

There's some dude, Arizona or New Mexico I think, who is suing the state for the cost of his legal medical grow they came in and destoryed when arresting him. He beat all charges and now he wants the $5,000 per plant they charged him with. The state is saying "that's rediculous, those plants weren't worth $5,000." Mwa HAHAHAHA!!!! They are going to lose this case, he's going to get PAID, and in the future I believe all med states are going to be much more careful about touching medical growers with anything more than a 20 foot pole.

That's why in my classes, I always talk about security is #1 priority. Water/Cable/Phone etc.. should have no access or witness to any evidence of your grow op. There are still the 36 percent out there of which you have no idea their intentions.

I bet it felt damn good to feel the way you did when they left without a hitch. The law that was made sure was a good one to make! I wish more thoughts and voices were heard in all laws that are made as this one had.

Glad to see ya free rzza!

if your legally growing in michigan you can feel at ease if you are staying within the limits. UNLESS YOU LIVE IN ONE OF THE CITIES WITH BANS!!!
Mind if I ask if you were growing more than 60 plants total, and more specifically, how many plants they counted? I'm interested in their interpretation of the law in this respect, since there seems to be a disconnect between growers regarding the total allowed number of plants. Some growers include themselves in the five patients category (60 plants), while others have determined that they are allowed to grow for five patients as_well_as themselves (72 plants). So, I'm looking for real-world evidence (your raid, for example) to make this problem more black and white (tired of the color gray).

Nice to hear you weren't treated like a common criminal, but the excuse that if we were only able to invade your privacy
we wouldn't have to invade your home doesn't cut it with me.
What other people are forced to give information on the medications they are allowed to possess and use simply
because it would make things easier on the police. Once they do get your information, whats to stop them from
coming by once a month, or whenever someone smells your grow and calls the cops, or they just come by just to check in on you? Or oops, how did your name end up on the list for the feds to come visit?
Will they just be cool and remember you were carded and legal the last time therefor no need to return, or will they in the hopes that you slipped up, just keep knocking on your door and checking up on you.
Maybe i'm wrong but innocent until proven guilty, and propable cause for that matter as far as medical marijuana goes
seems to be twisted into guilty until we snoop around and can't find anything to arrest you for.
While lists are good to inform people of things like pedophiles, or violent offenders,
innocent law abiding citizens should be left off police lists.
You're probably now on a list as it is.
Hopefully it's the list of patients not to bother again.

im not suggesting feds should have access. i think the cops should have access. it wouldnt be invasion of privacy for the local cops to know whos growing. also im not talking patients here, im only talking growers.

they arent producing the meds.

they could have taken me in for no door on grow room instead they gave me 2 weeks to get it done. they could have said something about my 5 year old being in the same room with a pipe. they didnt mention it. they didnt even search half my house, cabinets or garage. my point being is they came, they realized i was legal and they left. i have no concerns of them coming back.

i would however like to get in contact with the narc and let him know that, these days he cant just call the police in michigan when you smell weed, its legal here with a doc note so he needs to chill on the narc tip. i also would like to say whos laughing now fat boy?

it creeps me out knowing the guy was willing to risk my life and my sons (he knows my son was here and we talked about him not having a mom and me being single dad) to get a few bucks on a narco tip. that truely sickens me, and even more when i assume he has at least smoked before at some point.

come to think of it, i will be making another report for frozen pipes tomorrow (pres day today). when he comes i have the house filled with bud smoke, he comes in and gets it in his system. now i report him for smoking pot on his lunch hour. he gets fired. i laugh last.

then i find him in the street and slap him around a few times, take off his pants and tie him to a tree in the snow:)

that was obv a joke but i really am calling in the frozen pipes and when he comes i let him know how irresponsible it is to be narcing on cannabis users these days in med states.

good point man im gonna film it for sure. that way it puts him out there as a known narc ..

i believe what he did was wrong and maybe illegal on friday. he came back with his boss and asked to come in and see the meter again. he didnt really need to see the meter again, he simply wanted his boss to make the final decision whether or not to narc.

a masked officer from the narcotic enforcement team was scrolling through the riu and kept going to that avatar and reading what he wrote. i just said that not me, thats a guy from out west who was raided last year so thats why he put that there. he just kinda laughed it off.

I get your points.
I'm a patient who grows for myself and i'd fight not to be put on a list.
Of course, if it's ever written into law, and i'm forced to be on a list, i'll abide.
Overall sounds like they were cool. The cops, not the rat fink.

Don't even bother. Guy did it to get ahead in his job. He probably thought he'd get a raise or maybe be a C.I. deal. I bet cops would LOVE a guy that can visit 50+ different homes a week or whatever. I wouldn't put it passed any stranger, esp one that never expects to see you again. You live and learn the saying goes, hopefully you learned to keep your grow more secure. If you want to get some sort of emotional compensation, buy a 20-30 mackarel, gut it and slap it on his car's hood one morning. I'm sure he will get the point.

well the guy works in my community so he shoudl expect to see me again. My buddy says that these utility dept all get compensated somehow for tips. Whether its true or not, that guy knew i had a kkid here and shit, plus i have the certificates in that room, they are framed and leaning against the wall. If he wanted to play cop that bad he coulda noticed that. Or at the least maybe ask if im medical? Idk. No matter how you look at it, he is a scumbag in my eyes.

too bad. glad everything worked out all right.

came across these dead bolts the other day. no key needed to lock. they have turnable ring on the outside that will lock the bolt with no key from the outside. they were on sale at menards for 5 bucks so i bought a few. perfect for grow room doors that may have to be shut and locked in a pinch.
