hey, this is sort of stupid question but im sure ppl in the past have asked themselves this:

Are there greater chances of saving a plant from death when:

A) it is wilting from the lack of water?

OR

B) it is wilting from the overwatering?

thanks for your feedback

i havent been home for 10 days, i had a pump and timer watering for me, but you never know with these things, sometimes the pump can break.... i shouldnt be too worried right?

both can be deadly for the plant. i assume from your questions that you are trying to figure out which to worry about the most and therefore which to guard against.

in reality, it's pretty easy to water the right amount. there are several methods but the one i like is to thoroughly water the plant, so that water is flowing out of the bottom of the pot, then wait until the soil is dry down a couple of inches. repeat watering. you'll end up watering every 2 -4 days depending on pot and plant size.

i posted earlier before i saw this post. obviously, you can't control the watering the way i suggested if you are using an automated system.

unfortunately, given you are away 10 days, if you pumping system breaks you are going to kill your plants.

i think i will be fine, the pump is new and i have been away for a week already before this time... they have always survived. anyways if i find that the plants are wilting a bit, all i need to do is water them right? i mean marijuana is quite a resistant plant, does that mean that it will pop back into shape if it wilts? im asking this to calm down cause im quite anxious for this...

if what you're asking is whether a little too much or not enough water can be fixed after ten days, then the answer is yes.

btw, wilting from too much water looks a lot like wilting from too little water. check the faq on this site for pics of both.
