She has been in service for 9 months +

Root prune the hell out of her and put her in a bigger pot. You could even sell her after if you were sick of the strain.

RIP Mom Dukes

A lot of guys plant their dead mothers 6 ft down and of course the soil quality doesn't matter a bit.

Rip. too bad you can't wait till may, and throw her outside.

nah just a regular scrog, but he built up vertical around the edges so it was like a stadium... 2kw on that one plant he pulled over 4.5 lbs

I love scrog, might go back to it next grow...

The hell with all that noise...

Too much work. I prefer to let them grow without much training. I do some LST at week 4-8 of veg but once she is above 3 feet no more training.

For the time effort and space... I can grow out and harvest more - that's why mothers should be cycled through!

This one I did get emotional attached to (big Mistake). Hence, the R.I.P. thread just for her.!

How many generations of cuttings did you take from that beast of a mom?

Well under 99 for sure

Hypothetically speaking you could have gotten cuts every 2 weeks at 20-75 (less in the beginning and more at the end) per biweek!
Then times that by 18 different cutting sessions (her life span - 9 months old)!
You get the number you were looking for.... (360-1350)

She is only 1 mother....

All the cuts are the same generation because they all come from the same mother.

So this brings me to the next conundrum...
Is it better to keep one mom and cut from it continuously or is it better to cut and start a new generation?
Cuts are supposedly an exact copy and I have also heard that new generation can causes genetic drift.
The other end of the spectrum is that some say it is bad to cut from one single mom over and over again because of stress and trait inheritance..

Whats everyone's take?
