I lost some plants this season too. Not to traditional rippers, but to LEOS. Still chopped and gone. I've never done the backyard thing, so no good advice for you. In the bush, if you want to harvest 10 good plants, you plant 50 or more. There are always losses. It just hurts more when it's a ripper.
