R-600 n-Butane Tank / Lighter Fill Adapter

Do you know if they switched lighter fill adapters yet. I read on anothet forum that testing revealed the lighter fill hose was leaching. Ecogreen stated they were going to change hoses to ptfe coated lines. Just wondering if this happened yet.

There is a thread on TC where they tested this product. Cant post links from phone but it was gw that did testing. I believe the results are on page 9

That thread on TC was closed by the moderators, after some of the denizens cornered something meaner than they were with snide personal attacks, and didn't have the intelligence to shut up after getting only a token chaw.

Primarily it was closed because they continued with personal attacks, rather than getting back on thread, which I returned to after telling them to support their verbal diarrhea or back off.

Robust language skills, but not enough intelligence to understand perspective or to realize how stupid they look with their continued personal attacks, between whining and sniveling at how unfair it was that I "made them look stupid".

I made nothing, though I could make the argument that I revealed that fact and that it highlights the problem when you think with the teeney tiny little testosterone filled head, instead of the ostensibly larger one with actual pre frontal lobes.

Just so everyone is aware, I did not personally drive down to No Cal and select my own samples from amidst a seagoing container of identical containers, to insure that Ecogreen didn't some how have a system by which they could cherry pick the "good stuff" for testing.

It was delivered by commercial delivery, in a factory sealed carton and the tank valve was factory vacuum wrapped, which is how I delivered it to the third party nationally certified forensic lab for GCMS analysis.

If my failure to randomly blind sample invalidates the test for any of you, my recommendation is the same as on TC, which is to go do so yourself and pay the $700 to have it tested to our own satisfaction.

To those whom can put the odds of it being cherry picked in earth based perspective, here is what I know:

In a nut shell, Skyhighler tested the Ecogreen R290 and R600, as well as their lighter fill system. He posted the results of his test, as compared to the others he tested on his signature links, and did find rust inside the lighter fill kit tubes. Ecogreen did therefore withdraw them from the market and pledged to look at corrosion proof tubes with PTFE hoses.

Skyhighler also noted that while the R-600 residuals fell within the central scatter of the others he tested, that the residuals did have a strong odor from some of the esters. That reduces its suitability for open blasting, but is easily remedied in closed loop systems by first vacuum distilling it to remove the residuals.

The usual green alligators and long necked geese at the Parts Per Billionth level, but not at levels of health concern by current standards.

Did that company ever convert their hoses to PTFE?
I'm considering getting one of these but obviously don't want to have rust in my extract.

I suspect that they will just order different hoses and tube next time around, but did take the rusty ones off the market.

Rust wouldn't come from the hoses, but apparently from the metal tube, which should ostensibly be stainless to remain rust free without any protective coating.

So it's safe to say they've already switched hoses and tubes and it's safe to buy?
I'm thinking of buying one of the hoses and a 30lb tank of butane so I don't have to buy cans by the master case.
