QWISO Yield Dry Vs Wet Trim

Sorry if this is dumb, or if there is something simple Im missing...

The question:
What kind of yield can I expect using DRY trim vs using WET trim?

Why I ask:
I've read in a few threads now that QWISO yield is generally around 10%. Although it usually wasn't made clear, Im assuming most of those people were/are using wet/fresh trim.

So if I start with, lets say, 30g fresh trim I should end up with 3g hash (following the 10% rule).

As we all already know, the plant is made up of mostly water. 75% to 80% by weight (or that's around what I generally lose during the drying process).

So, that original 30g wet trim, when dried will be around 6g. I assume the same amount of hash can be obtained from the material whether wet or dry so that'll be 3g again but from 6g dry instead of 30g wet.

This would mean that the return for dry trim would be 50%...no? This doesn't seem right...

Someone set me straight.

The yield is going to be determined by the amount resin the trim has, 30g of trim from two different plants will yield different amounts. Whether you dry the trim or not its still going to be the same amount of THC extracted, but I'd think you would pull more chlorophyll from wet trim, though I can't say that for sure. The 10% rule is based on the trim being dry, I believe. 6g of dry trim would yield .6g
