quick rdwc question

I currently have a dwc system, all of my totes are connected together with 1 tote spare that I use as a controller.

I have noticed different water temps and nutes in some of the totes so I am going to put a pump that pumps water from the controller tote to each tote thus makinging them all the same temps/nutes etc.

what sort of pumps and pipe do people use? any links to help me find them easier would be much appreciated

There are sooo many different setups.

Pump depends on how many sites, tubing/pipe diameter, total length, lift, etc. If the pump is run 24/7, then most use an external pump to reduce heat. When I ran rdwc I used a submersible pump that ran for 5 minutes every hour. I saw no need to recirculate 24/7.

Mine was like this:
My drain lines were 2x the diameter of the feed lines and they all went to the rez individually. If you do what the guy in the video did with the return lines (connect 2 of them in serial), then I would use 3x the diameter of the feed lines. 3 plants, 4x the diameter, etc.

You can get the parts for a system from most hardware stores.

The only pre-made system I've purchased was a hydrofarm ebb & gro 12 site unit for my dad's grow. The only reason we didn't custom make it is we got the system used for a steal of a deal and we were short on time. Do some web searching and you'll get plenty of ideas.
