Quick question on fertilizer

Say what?

Nutrients in our parts can be a pain to get a hold of. There are no available ff, gh, go, canna, or other premium ferts readily bought over the counter. Those things need to be shipped, and the shipping fees can get ridiculous, to say the least.

my question is: I came across a foliar fert (2-part), and was wondering if I could use them other than a foliar feed. Using them watered straight into the medium (coco). Diluted, of course, in water.

The 2 ferts in question have these ratios:

Growth: N-2.35%, P-4.44%, K-1.75%, mg-0.36%, c-org-4.5% (dont know what this is) with all trace elements.

Fruit/flower: N-1.85%, P-1.85%, K-3.32%, mg-0.49%, c-org-4.5%( again, have no idea what this is) with all trace elements.

its said to be applied to foliage every 7-10 days at a dosage of 80ml for 16liters. that would be about 20ml/gallon if my computation serves me right.

does anyone know if its alright to use this mixed with water into the soil? Or not? Is it strictly foliar? What dosage would you suggest? What nutes would you suggest to use?

mbferts.com for bulk ferts. I can get 1# boxes of basically MOAB equivalent fert for 5.00 vs 75.00 of the moab brand. they have everything you can possibly need. shipping is cheap. sometimes ill use amazon for 90% of all my growing hard parts (tents, hoods, bulbs, ect).

Thanks for the suggestion, @DemonTrich. I just checked it out and it looks very promising. I'll be looking into that line more.

But, going back. It is it alright to use something advertised as foliar ferts on the soil?

Those are decent prices if you get 5lb (I'm looking at their yara calcium nitrate). It's 4.49/lb for 1lb with free shipping which at first had me thinking it was overpriced, but 5lb is only 1.80 a pound with shipping included. Not a bad price.

Thanks for the replies but I'm still scratching my head on my question. Are foliar nutes strictly foliar or can they be also used to water the medium, albeit, with a stronger mix ratio?

I wouldn't do it, the NPK ratios are off, the N is really low in both. and the P is low for bloom.
Try Osmocote Plus it can be found in many hardware stores and garden centers.
If you want more info on how to use, here's a POST from a couple yrs back
