quick question, need opinion.

i was thinking of getting a 400 watt MH light going for my mothers / clones, but i have 1 option... its either 400 watt MH light for both, or T5 light... im leaning more towards the T5, for electricity and i can put them closer to the plants and also heat... they will be in my closet ( veg room ). and the flowering room will be in the garage.

Since it's going to be in the closet, heat will definitely be an issue, so unless you got proper ventilation, fans, etc..., and are confident you can keep the heat/humidity well under control, I'd suggest the T5's. I'm a noobie, though, so...

I would go for the t5s for your mothers and clones and for veg save your money for your lights in your flower room you can make most anything grow huge fat buds with big lights in flowering. Even if you skimp a bit in the veg

just throwing this out there so someone helps... do you think that 2 4' 3000k 2,000 lumens each are good enough for flowering one plant??

You wil get something and it will get you a buzz but it will not be worth the time and money out into doing it

hey! quit asking questions in my forum u jerk! haha just kidding go for it... i got the advice i needed thanks! im takin down the 400 watt hps and buying the T5.... hope to see better growth, the hps is dissapointing but i didnt expect much anyways since its wrong spectrum

Maximize your lighting by using mylar, or flat white paint on your closet walls, also

i haven't seen either but i know both of there work is great but i do know you need to start small, figure out what you are doing really well, and make sure your system is something that you can manage very easily

im going to have my flower room covered by black & white poly. i really dont know what to go with.... i have a month or so til i take cuttings from my mother but i need to prepare!

i would get the t5s and keep the hps light on your plants till you need you light somewhere else go with the simplest you can always down size a 2000w 24 plants setup with a 500w 6 plant system and have very good outcomes

im thinking again.... god... all this smokin weed just makes me think so much! i want it all lol.... umm ok. 30 plants total or 24 flowering / 12 immature is what i can work with here... im getting the T5 for sure, selling the 400w hps.... but for the flowering room (garage) whatever u wanna call it... will 2x1000's be cool? or should i do 4x600's? im leaning towards 4x600's cuz its a lil more than 2000w and it covers more room. also can have closer to the plants and keep the room cooler. thoughts? SO MANY THINGS! DAMNIT.... another rip

thanks for the info.. i read it, but still not sure what to do... they say HPS is good for both veg and flower.... but better results with MH for veg then HPS for flower is what ive heard for ever.... confusing... frustrated.... another rip

I'm about to do my first grow, and I agree. The lighting is the most confusing part to me! I'm going with 2, 2 bulb, 4' T5 lamps (actually T12's, but I'm using an adaptor so I can use T5 bulbs). keeping it simple...

im thinking indoor 12 under T5, flower 24 in the garage under 2x1000's or 4x600's what makes more sence for better buds... obviously the 4 right? but then its gettin a lil too crazy 4 lights... electricity all in my garage? thats another story....

Holla at VictorVicious. Dude is a wiz with the T5's! Produces crazy yields using T5's from seed to bud, and doesn't mind answering your questions. He convinced me to stick with the T5's.
