When harvesting your plant can you harvest at two different times? What I mean is can I snip some off at week 8 and the rest at week 9 for example?

once you start cutting off buds it will shock the plant so might as well wait ...lol..you waited this long !!good luck !

Thanks for the advice and quick replies!
One other thing; anyone know where I can get a cheap but decent scope to check my tric's out better(I'm in Canada so im thinking wal-mart or what? Lol.)

Just last week I bought a 30x jewelers loupe with a light on it from amazon.com. It cost $3.60 US dollars and shipping was free. The light is an LED which emits a blueish light and it makes the trichs light up like a christmas tree. It's truly beautiful. If you have a Radio Shack around they have a 60x-100x microscope that also works well for about $12. The only thing about the Radio Shack scope is that with that powerful of magnification it is hard to hold still. Hope this helps. :)

Oh yea, if your considering the loupe, I ordered it on a Tuesday and it was in my mailbox on Thursday, just 2 days later. It was shipped priority first class.

so I couldn't did a jewelrs loupe but I got an extremely strong magnifying glass, the circle part is 20x and it has an led, basically the same thing for 9$.
Looking at my tric's it seems as though they are all milky, any idea how long it can take(roughly) for them to go partially amber?
It's a partially sativa plant at week 8 of flower now; 40% hairs are darkened.. My guess is somewhere around 1.5-2weeks?

Just be patient. If you harvest when your trichs are more milky, the high will be more cerebral. If you can wait until they are more amber, it will be more of a hazy, stupid high. When growing a new strain, I personally am not against cutting off one small bud, doing a quick dry technique on that one small bud, and sampling. Some strains can take 12+ weeks to ripen. I like to wait for about 70% to 80% of the trichs to turn amber. Just keep an eye on it, and remember that "patience" thing. You've made it this far, and your almost there.:leaf:

yea like atleast 2 weeks after milky, could be up to 4 ,had a northern lite plant that took 5 weeks after milky , about 50% amber is optimal.....and if you can find a hand held slide veiwer(little box you hold up to light )and modify it that works good also !got mine at an art supply store...post some bud porn when you done .lol

Thats about right I think. I flush when I first see amber and it is done about two weeks later.
