QUICK QUESTION : Is Compost Ok??

Hey Guys,

I'm just about to plant my first seeds got them germinating in wet paper towels when I go to pot them is it ok for me to just use normal compost (from the bag) or do I need to get potting soil aswell..

I know it seems like a dumb question but I genuinely dont know and im scared to do anything in case I hurt my babies :///

That's what I'm using at the moment. My seedlings are doing alright so far but not sure how good it is for them as far as PH levels are concerned...

compost is more of an amendment
mix it with the soil

Id use the compost with potting soil.to make the soil go further and 'beef' it up.... unless the pH and nutes in there are way off.
I always think of compost as a fert rather than a medium. Its up to you though, maybe try one in compost one in soil or a mix and compare. AS it your first grow its all a learning exp. so enjoy....

yea mix it in with some soil that dosent have any slo release ferts in it
