Quick Fan Question

Hi! I have a quick question about fans-I've read a lot about several types of fans for different purposes, but I'm trying to keep it pretty simple-I don't want a lot of things running especially when I'm out of the house. I have a 3'x3'x'6' Grow Tent, 400w MH/HPS, and Stealth is not a concern. HERE's THE QUESTION: Can I get away with most of the day just having one medium fan at slow speed positioned in between my plants and my light, which will both cool the light and circulate the air? I would also have several flaps of the grow tent open, both low and high.

It seems to be working, just wondering if I'm missing anything. Thanks so much in advance!

its also good to have a small fan moving back and forth over the plants . have to run it 24/7 to prevent molds and circulate the air .

I use a 3x3x6 tent. It has 5 fans in it. More at times, as we near the harvest, more.
Air movement is my friend. Keeps temps controlled, humidity controlled and as bryan said-mold/mildew will get no hold here. And makes light "wind" for the plant to resist which causes bigger stems.

Most Growers here on RIU use a fan to control the temps ...no biggy!

little concern is giving to the actual plant

weed needs a fan to remove excess 02 from around the leaf zone

so that same leaf(stomata) can continue to suck C02 from the atmos

you are removing excess heat, 02 and resupplying the plant with fresh c02

this weed breathing also happens at night (in darkness)

all the more, to keep an extract or local pc type 4-6 inch fan in with the plants 24/7

Reply: Yes you should be safe

but if you are in doubt consider the purchase of the STC1000 temp controller on Ebay for $10.00

( I got 3) ..lol

good luck
