Quick Dry

Hey guys, I'm going to chop a plant then travel home for the holidays. Whats the best way to travel with so that it can dry but not stink. Smell is important cause i'm going to my parents house.

Its going to stink. It stinks worse once they are cut. You will not be able to do it.

Eh.....if he is burping sealed jars he should be fine. He will have to do it somewhere away from the house though or they will smell it. Better not go through an Air Port with any drugs though dude...keep it on the road and drive sober, the speed limit, with saftey inspection and registration all updated. Give no reason to be pulled over and you should be good.

If you live where its still in the 50-60s do it in your car (trunk, spill cologne in the back seats so if they go in your car they won't smel it...or they pass out from the cologne either way your safe haha) while at your parents.

JUst Burp them in some jars And try not to do it when your parents are home.....

Agree with BC Chron.... If you can cut them and hang for a few days before your trip just get some glass jars from container store. If they are in sealed glass jars this will help with the smell but you will still need to burp them and when you do this its gonna stink bro.... Plastic containers have been known to infect the bud with a plastic smell.....Good Luck, and drive sober

i like the jar burp method. how much stem should i put into the jar. what I'm going to do is cut hte plant RIGHT b4 i leave so that it gets as much time budding as possible since its a lil premature.

You need to cut it two or three days before you leave to get an initial dry down....burping wont work correctly if you dont.

water cure them

yea you gotta hang them and do an initial dry for a few days for the outside to be dry, and then burping it in glass jars only evens out the moisture from the inside to the outside giving it the sweet smells. If you don't cure properly this wont happen...

If you put them directly in to jars from cutting your prob gonna have moldy buds, your gonna screw up your whole crop because you want to rush it, cut them down early and not cure properly.. ( or maybe not want to but if you have to do it its gonna mess it up smoke like shit and smell like earth)

ok so i want to travel with the bud in jars on sunday/monday i should chop asap? let dry tomorrow and sunday till i leave?

2 days is not enough, you need those plants to hang for at least a week. if you don't do things the right way it will not turn out well. Nothing worse than smoking bud that truly tastes like ass.

If I were you I would give them one last good watering and go away fro a week, come back and harvest and do it proper.

im away for 2 weeks..

ok i'm leaving on monday and coming back jan 4th. I DON'T want to leave the plant here because its not a very private situation so thats why i wanna chop it. whats my best bet

You need to chop early and then water cure it while you are traveling and there.

if you want cut some down not all. ive had good luck drying fast in a pinch if you cut the buds into smaller pieces and lay them out on some kind of screen and spread out the bud pieces you might be all set to do the jar thing in 3 days. the smaller the pieces you cut the quicker it'll dry. this method doesnt kill the flavor, you just end up with smaller pieces of bud rather than nice big buds but if its not for show and just to get stoned who cares.

You'll need a pretty dry, free air area to get it trafficable in that time even breaking it up and laying it on screens.. I've always found 4 day minimum..

ok i just harvested and laid the buds down on a metal sheet and put it under my bed. should i blow a fan? i have till monday to let them sit there then I am going to jar it up and burp it.
