Ok so i need some advice.
Light Fell on my plant thats just days away from harvest. The light knocked off a bud and nothing else. So i wanna try a Quick dry and see where this plant is at and it'll also help me out on when i want to harvest. What method would you recommend to me?:leaf:
+Rep to anyone who can help me out

i use a portable heater, just hang a few feet away, it dries within hours, and still smokes OK, but CURING is the key to taste and smell

put it on a screen and put a fan next to it not right on top...that will dry it in about 2-3 days....if u were looking for 5 minute dry then i read put it in the oven on like 100 for 3 minutes .....but idk about that one...or just keep it out in a well ventilated area

you really are not going to know where your plants are at unless you look at the tri's under a microscope. you are not going to get a good feel for the potency as the curing process is what converts your THC into a stronger punch. Usually takes about 2 weeks and with a fast cure you are only going to get about half potency. hopefully this helps.

Wrap it in a wet paper towel and microwave it for 15 seconds at a time (letting it cool in between) and within a few minutes you'll be good to go.

I use a blowdryer myself. High heat will break down THC so ovens and microwaves are not good options.

I turn the blowdryer on low heat and high fan and lay it on a counter and use a pair of forcipes clamped on the stem of the bud to hold the bud in place in front of the blowdryer and in a short time, depending on how large the bud is it will of course vary, it is ready for testing.

Continual passage of warm dry air over the bud will dry it quickly without breaking down the THC.

I usually toss a small piece on top of my PC case, right above my power supply. crisps up fresh buds in a few hours. Doesn't taste too good, but it smokes fine.

toaster oven works great if you put it on a really low tempurature you can come back it will be dry not burnt at all by the end of the day.

Anything dried in less than 2 weeks degrades the thc and it will never be smooth. If it is worth growing right why not harvest it right. If you have to know how it is turning out do a water treatment with a sample? That done right still takes a week. Sill the best way is hanging in a room with a little fan movement and very little humidity. If you do the various quick ways your just dumping your time down the shitter! Of coarse that is my opinion and not held by all!

It is the conditions of drying more than time that effect the final outcome. Of course to do it right it does take time but if you take 2 weeks or more and your conditions are bad you will not be any better off, so again it is less about time than it is about proper conditions.
