i plan on going travelling for a bit soon and i want to use an auto pot system.

now lets says i got a bunch of auto pots hooked up to a tank and in each pot i have different sized plants. How much nutrients due i put in the tank?

Should i make it full strength and does the auto pot system take what it needs?

Also what pot sizes due you recommend i buy?
i got plenty of grow space but on the other hand i dont wna buy puts that are too big!!

thank you!

also can i really leave this system running without maintence for long periods at a time? assuming i got a 24/0 light cycle

i've been using the autopot system for 2 years now and can leave my girls up to 3 weeks at a time that consists of a forty pot system and a 350lt tank.

thats amazing mate. i was gonna PM you earlier since i saw you had experance in this field.

i have a question for you.

If spent loads already and well im trying to cut back on spending so much so with that being said i wanna build my won autopot system.

this site here http://www.somhydro.co.uk/category.asp?cid=136 seems to sell all the components.

I already have a huge water tank and i already have a bunch of basic pots and air pots, so what else should i buy in order to hook this all up and make it work?

sorry for asking for such a detailed answer, but it would be very helpful and would save me loads of money.

ps

i saw that you wrote a small little diy thingy on the other autopot thread, however this was a bit over my head since i got no idea what each component in the autopot system does, all i know is that is feeds some water from the tank to the pots.

thanks dude

you will need the pots(15lt sq) that come with the autopot system they have got special cut outs so that the root control discs work.a 1m x 1m tray (you can pick this up at any hydro shop)1 aqua valve+cover per tray.some 6mm pipe and some 13mm pipe and 1 conector for every 2 trays and a stopper for the end.i've checked out that site and you can find everything but the trays.here's a site that shows you the workings of the autopot system http://www.autopot.com.au/default.aspx?PageID=9db07a7f-331f-4b52-849e-a1e549bc675d .i will take some pics of my setup a.s.a.p and let you have a look.

no problem i will have they picks on tomorrow around the same time.very simple set up.uses gravity to feed the plants

i did a little price research and it seems i can only get the tray when it comes with the pots. Im looking at one site now that asking for rufly £20 for 2 pots and a tray. If i wanted to get a 20 pot system, am i looking £200? or is there a cheaper option, thanks

thanks m8 just started that one yesterday.will upload pics weekly so you can see how its going.i uploaded the first pic last night.(white widow)
