Quick ? about light movers

ok so i'm in the process of planning my next grow. the space i'm hoping to grow on, and the area that needs to be lit, is going to be 6' x 4'. i will be growing in the SCROG style, with a controlled canopy. i'd like to use 1 600w light. there will be 6 plants flowering underneath so i'm hoping this will be sufficient. i'm also planning on getting an aircooled hood so that i can bring the light closer. my question is this: if i am taking advantage of an aircooled hood and bringing the light closer, this will inevitably cut down on the amount of area the light will illuminate. in order to combat this, and well because even if my 600w were at the right height it probably would not cover 6' x 6', i was thinking of getting a light rail. i figured using a mover will allow me to get a nice even canopy/development and only have to use 1 light. I'd love to hear any opinions/experience with this sort of thing. I havent used a mover before and wanna know if they really are effective or worth it. if you have another suffestion or possible route to provide the best light coverage for a 6'x4' canopy im all ears. thanks for your time/input

dont buy light rail, it doesnt create even growth. the middle plants still get more light because they get passed more often then begining and end of rail. just hang your light on a piece of pipe that allows it to be moved to small plants for a day or so if need be.

How about get a light rail that compensates for the problem by staying at the end longer.

Light rails are wonderful for supplying a scrog with a nice even canopy if you only intend to use one light. If your flowering area is wider as you stand in front of it than it is deeper, as your reach straight out, I usually suggest people go with two smaller lights.

..../-\....../-\.... this way you can move each light slightly closer towards the edges and not worry about the area in the middle missing out on any PAR watts. It will get the secondary light from both lamps and grow just fine, trust me. One lamp on a rail is good also, either way, have fun with it

I never used a mover but a buddy does w/ an aircooled hood, he said it was a real bitch to get setup so the ducts move w/ the unit but the garden looks great!

I got a light rail 3.5 and Im happy with the result im getting with 1 600w. I dont think you need to air cool the light

thanks for everyones input, im stoked to see some people actually took the time to read and give thoughtful responses.
that 3.5 looks super interesting, going to have to do some research and see what the scoop is with it. glad to hear people have had positive experiences with it though.

@j.cun.shallow - how come you don't think i will need to air cool the light? do you think that because i am doing a scrog style only really hoping to illuminate the top canopy i won't need to drop the light any to get sufficient penetration and coverage? at this point i'd like to maximize lumen per square foot, but if getting an aircooled hood and dropping my light down will make little to no difference i'd love to know now. im operating on the assumption that the more lumens i can provide the better growth, but im sure there is a threshold
