Questions about perpetual sea of green setup

Question? If I'm housing mother plans in a dwc system like you suggested how to I go about cleaning it out? The reason I was thinking drit is 1 less thang to worry about. I'm going to have a hard enough time figgering out the reservoir nutrients and cleaning schedule out. Or can I just let it go add Nutes every so offen there just saying in veg. And how long can I let them stay in something like that without gettin root rot. I ready don't want to mess with the mothers just get my clippings and move on? Did I ask that question right understand what I'm getting it?
And to answer your other questions.

I can guarantee you you're not going to have the prettiest root system in that kind of approach. But it does work .

When I had my mother plant I wasn't focused on creating a lot of clones, Unlike what you're trying to do. I intentionally didn't add nutrients to my solution just to keep the mother plant from growing so damn much. But again your situation is different I was only growing one big plant. You're growing a whole bunch of plants. So this means you will need a lot of clones.

To achieve this you will need a very healthy mother plant(s). If I was in your situation and trying to do what you're doing I would take a page out of my own book. Use my simple little aeroponic 5 gallon bucket design for your mother plants. Really can't go wrong there. And to save on timers that switch the pumps on and off you can simply connect your mother plant pump to the main system timer.

I need to build a short one. I'm thinking 2 gal. Black buckets. Might work I'm doing the mothers in a tent that is only 48 1/2 tall. I need to figger out a system that fits in the tent.

The clones love the nutes when they get put into my veg (about 1000ppm) tray. Then after about 2 weeks they go into flower and run at about the same level of nutes (about1250) all through flower. The new clones do great, and my plants stay nice and green up till harvest. There are a few strains I've run that get a little leaf fade near the end, but no biggy.

I have tried flushing, and I stopped doing it years ago except the toilet that is. I make a point of not running real high levels of nutes (just giving them what they need to stay green and happy), and not adding a bunch of extra boosters and stuff. Thus I don't generally feel the need to flush at harvest. I do occasionally run some plain water in my res for 24 hours between res changes to give the whole tray a little flush out. Anyway when the plants are done they get chopped, and the fan leaves get pulled. Some times I trim wet and freeze the trim for QWISO, other times I let the plants dry on the stems and then trim them.
Ok thanks for the 411 I need to do some experimenting with nutes and find me some strains that will work. What strains you been using that you would recommend?

I've ran a whole variety of stuff. The strain that started this process was a white widow pheno I had for 4 years. It grew very nice single cola plants with big fat nugs on them. Had good potancy, and yielded decently. My only complaint about that pheno was I had to keep the humidity down cus if I didn't I would run into mold. Since then I've ran many other strains that have worked pretty well. Ultra sour form THC seeds comes to mind. I had a C99 pheno from female seeds that was awesome, and got used in my first breeding project. I grew out a freebie Dinachem plant earlier this year that was fantastic. I was over loaded with stains and clones at the time so I just grew it out and flowered it, so I sadly lost the genetics. One of my favorite plants I've grown(and still am) is Platinum Delight from Sincity seeds. I grew it as a tester for Sincity last year, and there were several nice phenos in the batch, the one I am still growing is awesome. It grows very nice single cola plants, with rock hard nugs that turn purple at about 7 weeks like clock work. Its got an fantastic smell and taste that I can't really describe, and the purple calyxs are just coated with yummy resin.
