Questions about Lighting (fluo and LED)

Hi...
This is my new-born of Jack Herer (100% female from nirvana seeds) at only 4 days old. It has been growing very fast and I notice an important growth everyday.
I am now using those big fluo spiral bulbs (low watts one is equivalent to 250 regular lights watts) on a 24 hours lights cycle.
My question is : when shall i start the veg 18/6 cycle of light ?
Is it still too early at this stage ?
Also as you can see I have my 90 watts UFO ready to fire : when can i start using it ?
Is it only for flowering or can I use it for veg too ?

Your plant is almost out of the seedling phase, you can start using your ufo now. You can keep your light on 18-24 hours at anytime during the veg period. The lower it to 12 hours when ever you want to flower. Give it a few weeks at least. Learn to care for your plant and you will be rewarded.
Also get it into a bigger pot in another week or two. Your growth will also increase a bit with a bigger pot.

Vegging starts as soon as the plant breaks ground. It should be on 18/6 now. I NEVER do 24/0. Im sure someone will say different, but Ive compared, and 24/0 keeps plants SMALLER! You wouldnt think so, but they need rest, and do most of their actual growing in the dark. Im runnunig 16/8 now and see better results than 18/6. Use the flouros for a few weeks or until it gets as big as you want it, then switch to the ufo for flowering. You can use it for veg very well, maybe if your flouros arent enough when she gets bigger.

Entirely up to you. Mine stay more compact and get thicker under flouros, but the ufo will veg good too.

There is a whole army of different opinion on the subject of light spectrum in plant growth phases, I tend to lean toward the "more lumen count per square foot, more plant. I have a thread that I used nothing but CFL's to flower with....https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/378441-trailer-park-bagseed-cfl-grow-post5101393.html#post5101393.....feel free to give it a once over, there are I do believe a few references to light spectrum and all that ...........Happy Harvest!!

If you only have a 90w ufo I would use it in conjunction with the floros, it would be ok to start doing this now in my opinion. My grow is entirely led and I only use my 90w ufos for side lighting. If your ufo has a 1w chipset you'll need supplimental lighting to carry her through. The only ufo I ever use for top lighting is a 100w GLH spectra that has 45 3w diodes and that is dedicated to one autoflowering plant only. I would set up the floros on either side of the ufo and hit her from all angles.
