why do musicians feel entitled to get paid for doing what they love? Why do some get so offended when their fans share their music with others for free?

I steal 99.9% of music it's got to be a really good CD for me to pay I learned that the hard way Kanye just came out and his first song was pretty good I bought the CD and gave that shit away cause every single song sucked but the one alright song!! bongsmilie

Appreciating being compensated and feeling entitled to get paid are two different things. If you were a musician you would understand that every musician does what they love (playing music) for a long time with out getting paid before they ever make it to a position to where they are getting paid (if they ever get there). So if there are musicians who feel entitled to getting paid for doing what they love, you've never heard of them because they quit playing music long ago.

thats the problem with buying a cd. Most of the time the other songs suck. when I was buying cd's I could have just taped the fucking song off the radio if I knew the cd was going to be junk. every now n then you would get a good cd. you can only get burnt so many times before you say fuck it and just download their shit for free.

I also had all my cd's stollen by some pc of shit in south warren.

The lastest CD I purchased was Kendrick Lamar. It was worth it to me. I miss buying good cds and vinyls and playing the entire albums straight through! Some albums had funny ass skits and interludes! The good ol days.

Music is art, it sounds gay, but its actual physical solid art on an emotional level we can only feel and hear.

We can see it like we can imagine an apple, a red one with a green leaf and a shine. We can play the sound like we can hear our own voices in our heads, buts its definitely art and still sounds gay when we talk about its immense ability to evolve from a monkey hitting a piece of wood on a tree.

still sounds gay though :)

This is why they complain about money etc etc, its more a possession in thin air whats been created from within ( really gay ) rather than 'a thing you sell and upload' like its a piece of filthy rag.

Its a touchy subject music and its creator, some are shit, some are not, to be blunt ;)
