Question with my serious good problem

Hello all,

I tried to ask question in the sticky thread: If you are new to LED. It seems the experts of LED aren't answering there anymore because of repetition questions. I could understand that. I waited for several days for the answer. None of that came up.

So I am going ask here:

Please see A serious good problem: Is it too crowded? for a serious GOOD problem I have. I was thinking to replace my two 600w HIDs to a California light work 800w LED. The financial isn't an issue at this table. I don't know if it's worth to swap two 600w HID to a 800w LED. Will the LED outpace two 600w HID in the lumen measure? It is way obviously that LED will save electricity over HIDs. Will my cannabis benefit more with LED over two my HIDs?

In all honesty I don't think it will measure up to your HIDs. It claims to get 800W because it is "160 X high quality 5W LEDs". But they admit that in bloom mode it consumes 620W, and 15-20% of that is driver losses and fan losses so it is really dissipating 500W meaning they are charging $3/W. They included warm white which is good but there are very few warm white leds that are reasonably efficient and of course there is no way they are offering the top bins since they don't even mention the manufacturer, so I am a skeptic :)

I think LED is a great if you cannot run HID.
Like CFL and T5 they all use less electric and run cooler.

but under my 400 watt at 13 inches I have between 52000-67000 lumens depending on the spot.
I use a digital light meter to tilt my hood to balance the lighting.

your two 600's put out more than my measly light, you must have a great footprint of light with two lights.

Just curious do you run HPS and MH together or do you just use HPS?

I have read that you get the best spectrum with both types at once.

I am running HPS on both in vegetable. Should I use HPS and MH for 12/12 and vegetable?
