Question regarding cool tube venting options

I am currently in the process of setting up a 48" x 24" x 60" grow tent. I have a 435 cfm fan i intend on using for exhaust, however my question is which of these options would work best for cooling through a cooltube (400 w MH/HPS):
1. Pull exhaust through cooltube. diy carbon filter -> light -> fan -> Out
2. Exhaust seperately and use a 250 cfm inline duct fan for cooling of the 400w HPS with cool air.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

you could pull through the filter than tube but i think i would run the cool tube seperatly and sealed from the room so you would pull cool air from outside the room through and back out

That is my thought as well. Would 250cfm's of cool air with a cheap-o $25 fan be enough to keep the cooltube cool then I guess is my real question. I can't afford another pricey fan.

could you run an Y shaped inlet that would allow air to be pulled from the room and also from outside the room?

not effectively. Air is drawn such as electricity. it will always go the easiest route. if you have a well sealed unit with an inadequate air intake, the airflow will predominantly come from the outside.
