QUESTION: Outdoor cloning?

I'm doing an outdoor grow with 8 pots.
I have a few seeds but i want to save some for a future hydro set-up.
I want to use 3x Big Bombs and 1x Fruity Chronic.

Question:
Am i able to grow those 4 plants, take 1 clone from each plant to fill the other 4 pots.
If so please explain the best method. I've always started from seed and never cloned before.

I root cuttings (clones) from my outdoor plants, but only when the plant is still in its veg stage. I simply put them in a cup of water then take them indoors, place them under lights , and change the water daily.

I tried to root them outside but its a lot harder. They usually dry out the same day or attract pests.
