Hey there,
I have two active air 45l/min air pumps that i bought for my upcoming grow. im planning on having a flower room with 6 - 5 gal buckets and a veg room with the same. Can i use this pump to run 6 buckets?
Is a 6" ecoplus airstone enough for one bucket, or should i use two?

thanks alot, can't find this information anywhere.

What's up Merkyy !?
I'd run at least 2 lines per bucket with 2 of those 6" pillar style air stones.
I have 4 of the very same stones in 10gal of nutes in my 12gal Igloo Marine cooler.
And four 14 inch Wal Fart blue air stone bars in the other cooler.
No noticeable difference yet.

I don't think you have enough air to run that many stones.I'm using 68lpm pump to run 15 gallons with 6, 4inch round stones .4 stones in the 10gal reservoir and 2in the 5 gal reservoir. You are trying to run 60 gallons with 90lpm.I think you need another pump but i could be wrong. But yes 1 six inch stone per bucket wold be fine if the pump is strong enough. You probably could run 6 stones per pump but i dont think they will be very strong hook them up and see how much pressure you have.Maybe drop to smaller size stones?

So maybe i should get another two? i unfortunately couldnt buy just one because i need to have two seperate rooms for growing.

And i bought 24 6" airstones just in case i wanted to have two per bucket, which was my orginal intention but after i test all six running at once today i'll have a better idea im sure.

Any more imput?

expect fast growth, really fast...DWC worked allmost too well, outgrowing the space... It was a sativa dom. strain, grew 2" in. a day allmost

Hook them up and see if your happy with how powerful they are and let us know.Remember that their will be a huge root mass of course completely covering the stone.Until i bought my large pump I thought i had bubbles, and plenty of them but once the roots come down it was like they weren't even in their.I bought every stone out their and the alita sintered stones really bubble they bubble through the entire surface not just around the edges like most on the market. My reserviors aren't very deep and they actually push the water up a bit above the surface making a small fountain effect, water moves so much its hard to judge accurately the water level in the reservoir until i pump it out sometimes.Your 6inch block doesn't have a lot of surface area so you might be alright.

so with 6 stones on 1 pump, bubbles only come out of about 80% of the stone and the surface of the water rises 1 cm or less, with only 3 running per pump the entire stone is full of bubbles and the water level rises 1-2 cm.

I think i like it better with two pumps per room, so two pumps per 6 buckets creating a back-up pump for each room and 12 airstones per room.

kind of loud i suppose... i bet with 2 pumps in each room i may be able to hear it from outside the bedroom, i but plan on getting one of those styrafoam coolers that i can put them in and use that to run the hoses out of. maybe.
