Question on flushing hempy buckets with Final Phase...

Hey
So I've made it through flowering and I'm starting to see a few amber trichs, but need some input on leaching or flushing. My medium is 3/4 perlite and 1/4 vermiculite and each plant is in a 1 gallon container. I bought Final Phase and read the instructions but have a few questions.

I plan on taping the drain hole for the hempy bucket and filling it with the Final Phase/Water mix, waiting 6 hours, taking the tape off and tilting the buckets until all of the Final Phase mix is out of the internal reservoir, and then watering with plain water.

My question is how much water do I need to use to flush with hempy buckets? I know soil they say 3x the container size, but is this necessary with hempy buckets as its only perlite and vermiculite? Could I just water to runoff for the next few days after using Final Phase (about 32oz each watering)?

Thanks for your input.

I'm not sure when you read about this technique but it's the first I have heard of it.

Hempy's don't need a flush, you can go with straight water )no nutes) near the end if you think this will help, but to drown your hempy makes no sense to me

I used to follow 420fied journals on 420mag (since changed his name to koolkat), but if you google "come sog with me" that's him. He said he'd flush by watering until runoff was clear for 3 consecutive days then wait 3 days for pots to dry and cut. I got a bunch of hempies and don't feel like spending a whole 10 hours flushing lol, but I want white ash and clean smoke...

I would recommend a flush at the end of flower. I've been doing this a while and the best growers agree-it makes a difference in overall quality of final product.

Do this-flush one and don't flush one. Then you decide for yourself based off the final product.

You want your fan/sun leaves to be turning brown towards the last days of harvest! If you plant is lush and green till the end it's gonna be a harsh smoke.

flushing makes little to no difference in taste or burning ability
U know I flushed mine just one day. Ran about 35 gal of water n clear x in 24 hour period. Yeah smokes great smells skunky diesel n sour whatever old strain this is it's flipping awesome. Like I said better than the legal colorado stuff I got

Thanks for all the replies but I intend on flushing. Im just asking how much water I have to run through in hempy since its all stones and doesnt hold like soil or coco.

I have also heard flushing in a hempy isn't always needed. Sometimes it can be strain dependent too.

I have a theory that flushing at the end of flower actually stresses your plant and it up's it's production of resin in the final couple days. Maybe this is actually why a lot of people have seen 'better' results when flushing.

As for ash turning white-some of the worst smoke I ever had burned nice and white, and some of the best tasting bud I ever had didn't.

The organic og i'm lucky enough to get sometimes does burn totally white-it almost disappears when you smoke it, it's like cigarette ash!

I dont flush as such I just give plain water for the last week or two.Flushing makes sense imo, cleans the nutes out the plant and they dont look 'done' without it
