Question on clones +REP

Alright so I have to flower soon, due to circumstances out of my control, and I'd like to clone my plants now before its too late.

The thing is the branches that are just starting to develop aren't longer than 1" max so I don't think I can clone those.

Can I clone a Leaf? Does the clone have to end at a node?
If I do clone on the the fan leaves how will it continue to grow?
I'm assuming I have to wait until the branches are big enough to take and I'm hoping otherwise..

Nodes: 6-7
Height: 6-7"
Age: a little over a month old

Let me know, thanks!

no you cant clone a fan leaf(well technically you can but it wont grow). You need atleast 1 node under the soil. If its big enough you can cut the top of for a clone then your plant will be topped also or you could start flowering and take them about 2 weeks in, you can clone a flowering plant, it just takes longer the longer in it is.

OK, I see how you cut the branch off right at the stem, Could I do that with the branch you see in this picture?
It doesn't matter how long the clone takes to recover, I would just like to keep this strain in the garden.

Is this branch too small to clone?
Should I take the fan leaf with the branch?

Thanks for the quick replies!

too small, where you cut the branch there needs to be a spot above that where you removed another branch

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Are you saying I have to wait until there are 2 nodes per branch at least? The branch I have shown only has 1 node.

In 2 weeks this branch should have at least 3 nodes based on current growth, I suppose I can wait until then and test my luck.. Its an 8 week strain if that matters

yah, the bigger the better. the stem/clone will have a greater ability to grow roots(which is all that matter when cloning) when it is bigger

OK, well I'm glad I posted this thread before I went and copped up all my hard work!
I'll be waiting at least another week, by then that branch will have at least 2 more nodes.

Thanks for the posts guys

it's never really to late, you can just flower out, then reveg any females you find worthy
set the light back to a veg cycle, leave a bit of leaf/bud and you have a revegging plant

After harvest these plants must be disposed of, I wont have the ability to keep or transport any large plants or I would look into doing that.

Looks like I'll just have to wait until they are ready
