Ok Swerve I have the bubba bx2 fem's. I'm just wondering since this strain doesn't stretch much is it worth running in a scrog. from others it seems it doesn't yield well but is A+ dank, so I'm thinking scrog.
no do not use it for scrog. it will not be a good choice unless you plan on scrogging(scrog vegging) for 2 months... scrog grows are better with stretchy plants with excellent lateral branching.such as the 818 deadhead chem 4 og and some of our newer things we are coming out with...

OK, I'm a medicinal caregiver with patients with severe health problems that include constant joint and muscle pain, and difficulty sleeping. As a grower, I have mainly had experience almost exclusively with 60% or higher Sativa hybrids, and so have had extensive knowledge of them, but that is not what these patients are particularly looking for. I'm looking to try one or two strains from a lot of different breeders, and definitely would like to give some CC gear a run. Since my patients are handicapped, and have disability as a main source of income, what they are looking for is basically the most devastating, painkilling, sleep-inducing stuff out there. What do you have, preferably in regular seed, that might work for them? I'm not concerned with things like yield, flowering time, or growing difficulty, as I can handle with whatever is necessary on that front to provide quality medication to my patients.
right off the bat Pre98 bubba kush its high in CBD 2 years in a row won denvers cannabis cups highest CBD at over 12% CBD...
2nd choice would be Corleone kush as its half og so super strong hit high in thc and the pre98 bubba mix so you get an even CBD to thc

Hey Swerve I have a question for you, I have the clone only Tahoe OG from PO.

I'd like to scrog them but have a perpetual garden and am starting the first batch of Tahoe. I was thinking one of using one of those green nylon trellis nets. I could probably figure out some way of rigging up one of those in the bloom room. Maybe put it like 2' up from the media level and move in 1' tall Tahoe plants. If they triple in height when flipped that would put the trellis net about 1' down from the tops theoretically and 1' up from where they would start stretching. I'm not expecting to fill the screen, just hopefully add enough support for the entire grow and scrog them a little to get a better yield from more efficient light/space usage.

Do you think that would help/be worth rigging up? The bamboo stakes are a real bitch to put in as needed so i'd like to do something in advance this time since I already know they will be too top heavy to support themselves.

Any tips you can give me for supporting them would be great. I'm in 3 Gal dirt bags with Coco media if that makes a difference. Thanks!

What is selfing?

Contributed by Vic High:

As the title implies, the main drawback to selfing cannabis plants is that you loose the male portion of your population, making future crosses difficult. Some think that by selfing a plant, all the offspring will turn out just like mom. That is only true if mom is true breeding for all the traits you are interested in. Otherwise, her offspring will show two phenotypes for every trait that she is not true breeding.

There are two basic models for selfing a plant such as cannabis the first one being where the plant is homozygous for the trait in question. Let's assume again that pineapple flavour is controlled by the recessive gene pp. If we self the plant we fill get the following S1 cross.

S1 cross = pp x pp = pp + pp + pp + pp or 100% pineapple flavoured female offspring. But no matching males

The other likely possibility is that special individual heterozygous dominant for the pineapple flavour. In this case P will indicate for pineapple flavour and the S1 cross will be:

S1 cross = Pp x Pp = PP + Pp + Pp + pp, our familiar 1:2:1 mendelian ratio.

In this second example only 75% of the offspring will have pineapple flavour and the frequency of the P gene will only be 50%, a far cry from 100% or true breeding. From here on, this isn't much different from a half sib cross involving regular inbreeding or backcrossing. It will take a few generations to achieve something close to true breeding, but as with backcrossing, as long as we use the P1 mom in the crosses (selfing in this case), we will never achieve a true breeding population.

You might want to do some research before you start calling people dumb. Just check and see what S1 means and all your problems will be solved, well not really, but atleast you will see you said something really dumb.

I was asking bout and thinking bout regs thats why I was so confused when wyteberrywidow said they are only bubba
It's cool the regs are worked to bx2 meaning a cross was made using a pre 98 clone and I think a afghan male, the most bubba male from seeds hit the clone again and so on.
next time read thru before calling someone names:)

SO the Pre 98 bubba bx2 are pre-98 bubba clone only x reversed tahoe og pollen?
That it's a backcross requires there are bubba genetics in the pollen.. did you think the tahoe was a bubba cross or what?
I wish I could be as nice as Wyteberry but damn when you call someone dumb you better make sure YOU are not the one acting like it.

To be honest I am quite a bit pissed IRL due to lack of money-->no weed :/
But I sitll wonder what its crossed with haven't heard that swerve uses afgan crosses alot and it can't be SFV as in that case it would just be Corleone Kush

im not sure of the source so i cannot really comment on the clone from them i can say i do def get clones from them and all seem to be pretty dam legit or really close.. so PO gets a super maddd 2 Thumbs up High 5 Respect!!!!
id say expect the size you flip at to be 3 times that sometimes youll get lucky if you hit them heavy with p & k early they will not stretch as much but figure at min double the hieght so do what we do when growing sensi we double trelis.. first about a foot and a half above the plant or a foot depending then a foot above that or so... just depends on your recipe though.. i wrote al this and realized i should ask do you move your plants you they stay where they are when they are flowering? as everything i suggested would be pointless if you move your plants. as the best route there is the tomato cages for support....

SO the Pre 98 bubba bx2 are pre-98 bubba clone only x reversed tahoe og pollen?
No the Bx2 is below did the orginal affy#1 from HGF pollen to the pre98 bubba clone the making the first f1 then i found a bubba leaning male and hit the mom again.. creating the first bx1. then i went through those seeds until i found a good bubba leaning pheno again and went back to the mom a second time making the bx2 seeds...
