I'm doing DWC also, from what I've seen mollasses is questionable for use in hydro as it might clog some stuff up. Just buy Sweet (the 8oz bottle is anywhere between 8 and 13 bucks) and you won't have to worry.

Mollasses is used to feed beneficial microbes in soil. Those microbes output what plants need. Since Hydro is a soiless (sp) medium it doesn't house those types of microbes. Mollasses will do nothing but cause you problems in a DWC setup, it will promote algae growth, root rot, and it will clog pumps in your system.

yes, surprising.. all those answers above are 100% correct.. I would also add one other point .. the leaves immediately surrounding the bud sites are the primary work houses (transporting sugars) to the bud so as long as you are careful enough, sometimes foliar feeding with 1/4 strength of the flowering nutes you have like twice a week will lead to bigger buds! Ive done it and a couple of my plants went crazy and had like mutant size buds on the cola but one other I think the concentration was too high and the leaves burned and the bud was much much smaller in the end as a result of the surrounding leaves getting damaged.. its a risk but the reward is oh so worth it! good luck!
