Question about yield

Hi all.I need some experienced grower to answer me just one question.

Is it unrealistic to hope for 1kg(1000 grams) of dry product in indoor 5 square meter 2400hps Sog environment,using Critical mass seed(on there page says yield is around 600-700grams per sq meter "raw" of course..).

No. We manage about a 14oz (dry) harvest with 4 plants in 5-6gal buckets under a 400w in about 2.5'x2.5' and could surely get over two pounds with a single 1000w. It would depend on the strain but 2400 watts could pull as much as 5lbs growing a heavy strain properly pruned before flowering.

Which seed you recomend from your personal expirience that has huge yield and decent quality(yield>quality)?
I am thinking of Big bud or Critical Mass.

I think people worry too much about yeild and not enough about getting there........

I couldnt agree more!

There are so many things that can go wrong between planting a seed and harvesting a plant.

I see all to much, people thinking that growing primo herb is easy!

Man it can take a few hundred seeds to find the right mother let alone learning how to grow it, as every strain is very different on tolerances to certain things.

Then comes the time learning how to get the best out of that plant so it can deliver everything you need.


Yeah choose a good strain, but thats only the start of it.

Learn to grow in general first. Then pick a big strain. You'll set yourself up for heartache otherwise. Everyone kills a few at first.

Oh so true! I've forgotten just how many failures and kill-off I went through. It always seemed like I'd perhaps get 2 or 3 to yeild a little something, rarely get a nice cola.....I really think my success began when I learned how to IGNORE them a while at a time.....now, it seems like I've got bushes ALL the time! The important things are temps, lighting and feeding.....and a lot of patience!

patcience is the one. as for strains im currently doing ww, generation about 9! covered in chrystals and looks exactly the same as gen 1. find a good mother, happy days

Big Bud for sure yields, on my first grow I did one plant in dwc and the yield was upwards of 12 zips, colas as big around as a 2 liter bottles.

on my third grow and haven't killed one yet.
