Question about topping

So I know how to top a plate but wanted to know do you top when the plate reaches the height you want. Wanted to know cause it is my understanding that when you switch to flower the plant will get bigger is this still true when you top a plant

That would depend after the initial top how many tops you want to achieve. Look at Uncle Bens sticky concerning topping he does a thorough step by step with great explanations. Basically with his method you can get 4 tops from one topping and note it is not a fim cut. Best of luck with your grow.

If the plant is currently at the height you want your proably 50% larger than you really need. General stretch of 1.5x is standard. Multiple toppings duri g plant growth is key. Also depending on amount of flowering stretch one can quite successfully top after flowering has been initiated. Don't wait beyond 2nd week flower or lower yields will be had...mostly
