question about rain

it has been raining all day and looks like the same for tomorrow. there are some big fat compact buds. some brown hairs not many. should i be worried about mold????? i go out and shake them every few hours. anything else i could do?????

You are ok don't worry about bud rot as long as it does not rain everyday

yeah just rained here for tha past week and its been humid as hell and one of my buds fell to bud rot...so keep an eye on that.

can some one post a pic of bud rot/ mold so i know what to look for, and if i do find some can i just cut that part off????

yah heres two pics. the first is one of what it looks like and the bud i had that was rotted, i just cut it off, removed the rot, dried and smoked it.

I am too worried about bud rot. It's been raining here on and off for 2 days and the humidity was killer Might have to put a fan on em?

one day rain. two days overcast and humid. tomorrow humid. more rain tuesday. yanked a rotten bud today. but I put it in the oven and smoked it and now I feel better. till I find another.

I live in bc and am facing the same problem, got nailed last year with budrot. I've been blessed with sunshine these last two weeks which make up for a rainy august. I've been bringing the plants into a glass sheltered patio. It has one wall open to the elements but is surrounded on the other 3 sides by the house. Even though it's sheltered from the rain it still has to deal with the dampness in the air. I put out an oscillating fan blowing the plants at mid speed and when I get up in the morning and turn the fan off the buds are dry, no dew or moisture so far. It'll get dicey over the next 3 weeks and I'll really have to be prepared to do an emergency harvest. I'm off to homedepot to build the "$40" bud drier tomorrow. It's a shame I can't bring my plants into the house at night but there like 5 feet tall and bushy, my cats would maul them not to mention the smell of these budding beauties.

Will bringing my plant in from outside to an air conditioned room at night help prevent this? I've been bringing them in when it rains, and taking them back out when it stops already.

For me this is the worst time possible for it to be raining, and its been raining for about a Week.

Ive been pulling moldy buds off my plants for 4 days now. Ive been using Mold Prevention Spray but still the buds Mold.

And today we are seeing even more rain from Hurricane Ike. At least the rain looks like it may stop tomorrow.

how common is bud rot in the south east with the rain and humidity and is it gonna be a major concern of mine i am growing outdoors au natural

Anyone ever use this to prevent mold?

depends on your humidity and how much its raining around you...if its raining alot and you have high humidity then you are more seceptable to bud rot...try using a fungacide spray and checkin all your buds very carefully from now on. A fan seems to help.

Hurrican Ike had things screwed up there for awhile. Weather Wise. We had really strong winds. I had to tie some branches down.

i need a microscope

I live in a humid part of the country and it usually gets pretty dry during the second half of the summer. Over several seasons of guerilla farming I've never ran into any rot or mold problems until this year. We had alot of rain due to those two hurricane systems smashing all the way up and through the middle of our country.

I have noticed that the one I have totally out in the open has had no problems at all but a couple deep in the woods in a clearing are having rot troubles. I would imagine that the air is stagnant up there and the healthy one is getting a good amount of air flow that is protecting it.

Its going to be a toss up for me picking my spots next year between going lots of sun and air flow as opposed to concealment.
