Question about mini fridge conversion

Okay so I have a minifridge that I don't really use because it doesn't get as cold as I need it and that got me thinking about converting it to a little stealth box. I have a tent but I just think the stealth grows look kinda fun and its worth the practice if I ever need to hide my growing.

The box is 1x1x2 and I'm thinking either doing a scrog with the fridge rack or just lst the shit out of it but I'm leaning towards scrog. The good thing is the fridge has intake and outtake fans already so I'm thinking if I have it plugged in and adjust the temps I could have a perfectly cooled room.. I've never seen someone use a fridge while plugged in so not sure if it would work. Am I missing anything here?

After The planter and light,Where you gonna put the plant? If this is only 2 feet tall and 1 foot deep and wide, You will only be able to grow 1 plant and veg it to about 4 in, before bloom. remeber the plant will grow another 1/3 it's veg size durring bloom, even then with planter and light even a tiny led. (that won't do a very good job blooming it), no room for a plant more than 10 inches tall. This box will yield dry weight 3 or 4 grams. lot's of work in my opinion for less than an 1/8 of poor, stressed probably hermi weed. not that your strain is hermi or anything,but add the stress of growing in a cab that size, and your probabilities of heat related problems like this goes up expadintially. peace!@ P.s keep us posted on how the keeping it plugged in works out, interesting experiment. I'd gut it and put the little compressor in a larger box though, that kinda defeats the purpose of the dorm room frige grow experiment. Mabey a larger mini.

Well my thinking was scroging with cfls.. I was going to find a tupperware container about 11x11x8" or something and put some holes in the bottom for drainage.. That's about 4 gallons plenty of room for roots to grow. Now I'd place the screen about 4 inches above the planter (not ideal I know) and that still gives me about a foot for cfls and buds.. I'm using 23w cfls with y adapters plugged into a power strip fastened to the top..

As far as heat I was thinking I might be able adjust the temps and almost use it like an ac unit..

Not sayin it will work but I'm thinking about throwing something together to get an idea on spacing and worst case fuck it ill use the lights for a veg box

Side note I just saw that 11x11x6" is a little over 3 gallons and would leave me 6" between screen and planter.. Do I need more room for roots in scrog? I know it requires more veg but this is also 100% indica if it makes a difference

You could grow one nice plant in there if you top and LST it. I would skip the screen for now, too much extra stuff. Maybe screw some eye bolts into the walls for LST ties. Don't go crazy with ventilation and CFL's everywhere. Keep it simple. You would be fine with a 1/2g pot.

You could get much more than 3 or 4 grams if you do it right.

Why not just go for it and learn so the next attempt will be better. Sounds like a fun project.

LST'g in a small area if done right works great! I did it with my PC grow, and ended up getting 5 really dense fat colas from training her to grow horizontally. I only vegged her for about a month and trained her to grow horizontally by tying her down and keeping the main cola tip lower than the side branches. This made the side branches want to become new colas and they got nice and fat. So I ended up with 1 main cola and 4 wannabes and a lot of popcorn
