Question about LST / SCROG

Been awhile since I posted here but I have a question I'm hoping you guys can help me with since this is my first attempt at LST, topping, and SCROGing... Below are some photos of my girls as of tonight. My two main tops are clearly visible and well on their way of set 3 or 4 of their true leaves. My question is - is this the point where I tie down the two main side fans and the two main tops? Wait for them to straighten up then top one more time and repeat - minus topping again for a third time....?

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated guys, as this is my first attempt.

You want to top the plants around 5-6 notes to create multiple tops, allow the tops to grow out quite a bit before you start to LST. Usually let them get to 8 inches-1 foot in length

i agree wait about 2 weeks before tying down. you want them to grow out another 6 inches or so. this way you can spread the tops out farther and create more space for the under growth to get light. if you did it now you plants could bounce back on ya by tomorrow and only have a little separation between them. then once the under growth grows up and you've got a nice even canopy you can top all the main tops again. or thens a good time to through a net over them and fill out the screen. thats probably what id do. nice work so far

maybe back up a little on the watering too unless you just watered you soil does look wet. but your plant looks a little wilted from over watering you want your leaves out nice and flat.

best of luck.

Awesome, thanks for the advice. Yeah, I went away on vacation for a week so I watered them and then put 2" of water in the trays to ensure they were well watered while I was away (too much obviously lol). When I came back the water was gone and the soil is still fairly moist. Spritzed them yesterday and will today just to get the colour back but otherwise I couldn't be happier with my results thus far. So I guess I'll let them grow out for a couple weeks before I tie them down.

As for throwing the net over it, is it necessary to top again or could I just LST once they get longer then when they bounce back install my net and just keep tucking them under the net until I fill the whole thing? Then flip to 12/12?

Hey i feel ya, got to do, what you got to do. Yes id say let them grow out a bit more for sure.

Its totally not necessary id think. Once you have the net over you can just tuck the tops growin through under the net so no need to top them. For your first time just try keeping it as simple as possible dont try too much at a time. As you get better all these little tricks will come along.

Also dont fill in the whole screen before you flower. You want about 75%-80% full and then introduce flowering. Youll want the spare space for the flowering stretch. And temember about two weeks before you flower to snip off all the undergrowth that wont get any light an make some clones. All the undergrowth will just be a waste of energy you want going into your top buds
