Question about Fox Farm Grow Big for soil <pic>

I transplanted my plant from MG organic soil to a 3 gallon pot of FF Ocean Forrest soil a couple of weeks ago and the plant has been showing signs of N deficiency - I haven't given the plan any nutes whatsoever up to this point. I have the plant under a 400w HPS and it is a little over a month into veg.

I just bought FF Grow Big for soil and wasn't quite sure about feeding. I'm planning on starting off with a 1/2 strength solution for the first week, just to be careful. Do I just water the plant like normal with the nute water or should I alternate between clean water and nute water? And what about foliar feeding? Is it ok to mist the leaves with the nute water as well as watering the soil with the nute water or should I mist with clean water?

I'm a noob with this so any help with nutes would be huge. Thanks guys. Here's the plant. She's 16.5'' tall.

Bump.

Man, I could really use a little guidance on this one. Someone out there has to have used FF Grow Big for soil...

Good choice on the soil move. I would start with 1/4 dose. The soil has a good nut. amount to carry you. Then next time give it 1/2 dose, then full dose 1tsp. per gallon. I dont switch between nut. and plain water solution with Fox Farm Big Grow. I don't think it's strong enough to do any damage. Just mix it like it says on the bottle. It's a great product.

Thanks for the response imthemedic. The bottle mentions foliar feeding to "give your plant a jump start". Do you mist the leaves every time your water the soil w/ the nute water? Just do it every once in awhile? Do it between regular waterings?

I realize my questions are very basic, but I was surprised to not find much info on basic feeding methods for soil grows in my research.

You can feed that way, but I don't. I worry about burning the plants with my big light. You could mix up 1/4 dose and give them a little spray to get them started. I wouldn't do much else after that, you should be fine with just the normal feeding.

Fox farm is organic and wont burn the soil, with a plant that size you could easily give it a full dose without harming it. Good stuff to use!!
