Question about Flying with MMJ

I will be leaving Oakland airport soon, and there policy is you can bring up to 8 OZs with you. My question is will my bags be screen coming off the plain, and is there a good possibly of the airport im flying into intercept my package coming off the plane? The state I am flying into isn't MMJ.

idk, typically you will need to attach a letter stating you have a controlled substance with the actual mj medication, so that if/when tsa opens it they will at least know off the bat... since mj is still considered a schedule 1 substance, chances are you will lose it...

If you are flying into a US airport, probably not scanned, but if flying international you may have a problem.

i asked a friend who frequent flys and who is also a risk seeker meaning tries to legally get away with it (meaning taking advantage of his mj card) he's had an issue with every state he travels to except oregon...

all i know is that the air, flying, and airports are federal. federal law says pots illeagel so i would not try but thats just me

So is the worst that can happen that my suitcase gets confiscated?

i'd say that WORST thing that could happen is you might get arrested for smuggling but like i said i wouldn't try it and have not tried it. one of my girl friends stuck and 1/8 down her pants on a flight to vegas and she was fine never got caught but i dont have the nerves to try it myself

I have a hard time believing Oakland int airport allows pot on flights.

The cops won't even alert authorities at your destination if they do know you have it on you. Just make sure you have your credentials and have the allowed amount. Wow. Just be careful where you are flying to. If it is a non (or even limited) MMJ state, and somehow they find it, you could get fucked. But since you aren't leaving CA, you should be fine.

So far Oakland is the only airport to recognize MMJ. It's a fact. Look it up.

i'm trying to figure out the whole airport thing to. My problem is I live in a non med state. So even if I do fly somewhere,pick up my card I still have to worry about getting it back. Thought about a greyhound,lol.....

and THERE is the problem Downey! One of those whole "grey area" things. Until other airports ALSO recognize MMJ, it's kind of a moot point. I have always wrapped my stash up VERY tight, then wrapped my MMJ permit around the stash, THEN put on some tighty whities and CROTCHED it. (It's part of my balls, it's part of balls, it's part of my balls over oand over in my brain). Never had a problem. LAST time I flew they have introduced the x ray scanners and are allowed to "grab your junk". Not really sure what Im gonna do now.
