This issue has been open for debate for a long time. I've done it both ways. If I don't flush, everything is super green at harvest time. Last round I did flush and got good color change, and the nitrogen purge, but let them go longer too and only paid attention to the trics for harvest time. You certainly don't want to starve them during their last weeks of flower though.
So do you notice a difference smell or taste wise. I don't really care about color change is prefer not to have to flush by it be easier. This week I'm starting to reduce the EC and will continue to do until I harvest. And as far as starving them isn't it good to have them use up whatever nutrients they have stored? It's tough cuz everyone I ask has their opinion but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer for DWC. Well thanks for responding
I have not really noticed a difference fushing vs. not flushing. I agree, my goal was to let them use up all the stored fertilizer as as well. I didn't even start flushing until day 56 and they went to 69 days. The buds had stopped growing by day 56, where I only paid attention to the trics to determine harvest time. The previous soil grow I cut at day 60 and there was a big difference in potency and flavor between 60 days and 69 days. Bottom line is as of this point I can't tell the difference, but I will flush this grow to a degee.

. Hydroguard is the only thing I've heard of successfully working without chillers in a higher temp environment. I use it as well, but also have a chiller. Works great. Make sure you get some more, because an outbreak can happen super fast. She looks great, should be some nice smoke. Now you gotta dry and cure it just right! Just as important as the grow imo.

First part I meant that it's easier to wait until it's really really done, even if that means 75 days if you have plenty of canna already and you don't like trimming. Meaning I have more than enough bud from previous grows in jars and I don't like trimming, so I don't mind waiting, lol. When you don't have any in stock it's easy to think it's ready and chop it. Here in CO it's dry, so normally I wet trim and keep them on stems and hang them until the outside feels crispy. Usually takes 3 days depending on rh. Then I put them in a big plastic tub with the lid on/off to get the rh up for another day or two, until any hay smell is gone and they smell like they did when growing. Then cut them from the stem and put them in jars. Burp for a few days, when it's a little crispy I put in a boveda pack and put them on the shelf and that's it.
