Question about DWC

very small tub (10 gallon) and has 6.5g in the reservoir. has 2 plant sites.
Question is, one of the plants turn out to be a male, how can this male plant be removed so the other can go to 12/12?
the roots are mangled together, and not sure what others have done in this situation.

that is why most of us here on the forums will say 1 plant per rez..although a few here have had good luck with multiple plants per rez,but that is NOT the norm!

if i were to run multiple plants per rez they would be either clones from a known female plant or at the very least feminized seeds, and all of the same strain, because i like to KISS(keep it simple stoner) lol:D

they say hind sight is 20/20 but if i wer you i would've put some kind of mesh divider in your rez to seperate the roots from your 2 plants.

10 gallons is plenty to run 2 plants..depending on the size and shape of your rez.

just sayin;)

gonna have to seperate them. take hime out of there she can live through a little root damage. look up trimming roots. thatll show you what to trim and what not. thats why i went to 5gal buckets instead. a little more work but a lot more control

Cut roots and get it out. This may sound counter intuitive. but try to cut the roots of the plant you are leaving not the one you are removing. That's so you don't leave dead root material behind. What you cut from the keeper plant will grow back very quickly.

ps I grow 3 plants in that res but they are fem seeds and all the same strain.

Thanks everyone,
i really like the 5gallon bucket, but of course, room is the issue.
will work on this tomorrow night, and advise how it turns out.
