Question about Curing

So i got my Glass Jars packed as much as i can with weed, just filled them today.

I've read a couple threads where people say it takes 4 weeks for the chlorophyll to breakdown
to get the stanky bud smell

Just wondering what is the whole process of curing?

i remember reading about burping your jars and stuff months ago but i cant find those threads anymore...

also keeping them in dark closet/cupboard what temperature should it be in there?

A) How long did you dry them for? They should've hung for a good 6 days before hitting the jars.
B) Never jam pack the jar...leave some room for a good bit of air. If you put them into the jars too early and you pack them too tight...you can get mold.

Doh!

C) Open the jars every four hours or so and shake them around/move them around when you open. You are trying for even slow drying. Do this for a week...after that opening them once a day should be enough.

MOST IMPORTANT...SMELL. IF YOU SMELL EVEN A HINT OF MOLD...LEAVE THE JAR LID OPEN OVER NIGHT. THEN START OVER AGAIN WITH THE CURING.

yes you want the jars half full if not less. with the bigger buds you want to rotate them daily. you also want to burp the jars for the first few days. they say not to let sunlight hit it hence putting it in a dark spot. what i would do if i were you would fill the jars half way up before i filled them up i would put a small square of papertowel in the bottom of the jar then put the buds in. i would remove the paper towel in two days no more. i would burp them for four days give or take a day depending on the size of the jars. and i wouldnt smoke for at least a week but the longer u cure the bettter

When curing start bending 1 or 2 stocks every day till they brake, if drying at 93 to 95 degrees this should be in 5 to 7 days. Their done. Put in jar and open every other day for a week than put in a cool dark place to age. Lots of people put it in the freezer.

If you bust the bud up and it is powdery to dry a little moisture will fix it.
