thats because it is fucking stupid... now... go to home depot and grab a few light sockets... they cost 2-3 bucks will have 2 cords comming out... one hot one cold.. white/black then.. buy a wire/plug that goes into the wall... you may find one thats just a plug... or you many find one that has a plug then wire... at the end 2 wires comming out... after that buy some wire...run the plug from the wall to 2 wires... 1 hot 1 cold.. then right to your bulb... attach one wire white to white and the other black to black..

1 plug
1 light bulb socket
1 roll of wire
1 Knive
2 plasic cones( go over spliced wire )

really simple.... if you have more then 1 bulb then you may want to look up how to make a circut on google :)

I'm not assuming but if you're living in an environment IE parent's house, I'd refrain from growing until you are at liberty to make your own decisions.

1 plug
1 light bulb socket
1 roll of wire
1 Knive
2 plasic cones( go over spliced wire )
I wouldn't recommend splicing to someone that doesn't know how to put together a simple light fixture together. No offense, but that is like giving Peewee a child of his own.

home depot sells the 60 watt cfls that you need for 4.89 and has a fixture with a really nice reflective shield around it for only 5.00 more. Go there.

i went to home depot and bought one of those light fixtures u see above the mirror in a bathroom. its a strip with 4 sockets in a row, its only 15 bucks. each outlet can handle 100 watts of bulbs so you can screw a "y" socket into each and you can hook up 8 total 42w cfls. its a cheap and easy solution. good luck with ur setup

I'm suprised that more reefer rats don't electrocute themselves trying to save some money. AHHHHH !! just go to canadian tire or any hardware store and buy proper sockets and shit. Sorry had to vent :)

Like not all CFL lights come with the fixture that the bulbs blug into...
So what are the fixture's called?

exactly that. lamp fixtures. dude sereusly go to the depot and look thru the electrical books they have laying all around the store, read up on some basic knowledge and splicing and you should be golden.
