question about 12/12 from seed

what are some of the pro and cons when it comes to growing straight 12/12 from seed??

im using about 450 watts of cfls if that helps any....

it can herm, the plant will not have enough roots to grow and absorb enough nutriants to provide adiquit food for the flower

so would it help if i veg'd for like a week then went 12/12?
IM on a limited time frame tryin to harvest b4 i move states

you cant hurry it really, plant need 18+ till sexually mature, until its sexually mature at about 5-7 weeks you really cant do shit. 12/12 is only for promoting flowering within plants that are mature enough to do it

i would go at least a month of vegging before 12/12 imho

I've 12/12'd from seed before. It just makes a smaller plant. Pros - shorter stature for people with height issues & shorter harvest time. Cons - low yield due to smaller stature.

I only veg for 2 weeks max, the plants will range between 8 - 12 inches, if you have a seedling, clone it, then flower the clone on 12/12 to see what sex she is. then once established sex, clone the seedling again, and just keep cloning off of the mother.

I've gone 12/12 after letting seeds grow for about a week (when they're only about 4-5 inches high) with pretty great results. Because your overall plant size is much smaller, you end up getting much less total buds, but other than that it's just like a mini cannabis plant.

ok thank you everyone for the advice, iv already germ'd it and its a fem'd seed. i put it in a pot last night and plan to veg for atleast a week after it sprouts then go to 12/12

shorter more spacious plants

Cons: Substantially less yield
potency lowered
wont grow much branches to take cuttings for clones

say if you grew 12/12 from seed how long does it take to start buding

this will be my first 12/12 from seed
but im hoping no more than 15weeks

does anyone actually know? and we know it depends on strain but an estimate would be nice
