Hey what's up RIU and SUBcool followers......

5 QUERKLES from a five pack waiting to be cloned, sexed, and to find a keeper.
3gal wonder grow pots......trying something cheaper than smart pots will see....I love smart pots
4- 54w Ho T5's vegging.
I have a mix of random soil to test out mixes........SS will be for flowering clones later and yes I know not 2 put clones in direct SS.
Soils are
1pot Pro mix/Happy frog/Fox Farm OF/FF light warrior........In the middle somewhere but I think will be the best of all in the end cause of a good mix I think. And because I have good results mixing HF up with a bunch of soils.
1pot FFOF/LW.........Seems to be the best growth.
1pot HF/FFOF/LW..........second best growth.
1pot Pro mix.....................third best growth.
1pot Promix/HF.......last but still good, I put the smallest seedling in this pot.
Gonna be using 3 diff vegging feedings some with seabird shit, Foxfarm grow big, and Humboldt organics grow.
Check it out all feedback welcome and comments.. Peace my motha$&#@^!

What up RIU just thought Id bump my thread for selfish reasons. And if anybody has grown querkle? Id love some advice. I've done the search but not a whole lot.....just some here and there and mostly of subcool's breeding of this strain which is very nice.

About to put some into flower next week.
Looks almost exactly like yours.
Beautiful plant overall. Seems to be a forgiving plant my moms been sitting in a 5 gallon pot for like 3 months and still has not show any defs, other then my normal organic soil mix Ive only thrown a couple tablespoons Peruvian Guano onto it one time for shits and giggles. Otherwise just water for three months and she's in great shape.

Wish I could find pheno pics, Im drying to know if ours are the real super purple version or not.

Thanks good info to know........I want a purple version def. but also if I can get a space queen pheno that would also be nice. I have smoked Purple Urkle before and wasn't that great but that could be a lot of dif reasons how it was grown what not.

Growing good. Had a little stretch from dropping down from lights. I need more wire then I'm building a frame for lights so I can lower that instead. I don't want to keep ballast inside with plants.
Few changes on feeding....Not gonna nute much at all for veg since I don't wont monsters but will prob still have to chop clones off like crazy. And prob throw away some.
Gonna be cloning within a couple weeks or less.
Never cloned so any advice would be nice....Ive read the tutorials so will find out. I did a test run with my Walmart cloner and let everything soak in 5.5 and played around with it keeping ph 5.5 wasn't 2 difficult so that was nice.
Is there anyway special way to clone the top or does it matter?
First two are sativa looking other 2 indica and other one is tough to tell. But who knows till flower.

Just wanted to bumb, Need some help on cloning these.....Should a clone the tops? Or cut from sides never cloned before. Tops would be nice then I could keep mothers a bit shorter and even.
Also when I cut these...should I cut fan leaves off? I think I should but could be wrong.

i like to clone tops. nice thick clones. remove large fan leave, trim rest to soda can diameter. i just rooted a bunch of clones with no heat mat or dome and no misting. 1.5 inch rock wool, water(no soak) and dutchmasters replicator gel. its perfect weather for cloning. that being said you can always take clones from anywhere on the plant and then structure the mother as you see fit you dont have to use everything you cut.

Thanks Kushking,
I'm glad I can clone those tops I wasn't for sure on how well they clone but they must have no problem.

My first attempt at cloning. Made my own walmart cloner with 2 long air stones dual pump and cut out neoprene.
Been keeping PH as close a possible to 5.5. A few drops with ph down so far.
I used my tap(well) water. I have used for everything else so I fig why not but Is this OK?

No roots yet. Hope temp is okay, if anything i"m worried about being to warm. They were dipped in there water and then powdered then I let sit for a bit 10 sec or so then in the cloner fyi.

Finally have them not sure what I did wrong cause it took couple weeks but there here. Next time I think I need to cut clones better I don't I think exposed enough inner stem when I cut....as in not a full 45deg angle. I watched a few videos and think I know how to cut them right next time.
All have roots except for one but I can see the white bumps starting so should be pretty soon.

Also will be put in light warrior soil after I get some good long spiney roots showing on all.
Hope it works cloning has been a new exp. glad it worked so far.

And the ladies are doing great Gonna be just hitting them all with some seabird guano 10-10-2.

200cfm inline for flower room should be here shortly, then I'm taking old 100cfm out of flower room and will be in veg, my basement on a hot and humid summer(86 feeling like 96deg) night is 75, so room with light on tops at 80-83deg with aircooled light 750w. I know this is okay for heat but I think cooler is better would like to keep it 75 I see the best growth there for me.
Word to the wise don't buy these http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-4in-Inline-Duct-Fan.asp..... also ones on Ebay....wimpy motor and won't pull air through any type of carbon filter(homemade even) for a decent sized veg cab to keep heat out for 4 4ft 52w HO T5's.
Oh ya forgot to mention I need that 100cfm for cab to pull a decent amount of air through homade filter cause it stinks when you walk by basement stairs..... TGA Querkle stinks to high heaven.
When you bury your nose in them they have this deep dark dank smell almost fuel but damn they are the stinkiest veggigng plants Ive had in a while.
Hope I get some good females....Just gave a buddy a clone that I doubled up on Q #2 she was the biggest fastest one but was in better soil than the rest I think. FFOF/LW,Pro-mix organic,HappyF.
Didn't wanna double post so edit.

When using smart pots or knock offs esp indoor when you have a fan constantly blowing around....Find some sum type of container that can be high enough to block wind from hitting your smart pot...They dry out way to fast and I know this will help.
I"m prob gonna end up getting 5 gal buckets and then use a saws-all, or a air powered side cutter.... to cover up those 1-3gal. pots.

Lil. Switch in plans gonna flower out existing big plants but not yet and keep cloned for mothering...Ive been reading thread after thread of diff. sites and cloning does not lose potency for the time I will be using querkle cause I can't just smoke the same strain I must have a array of them. My tolerance is off the charts like most people on here.

Oh ya Ebay screwed my fan order up and now have to wait another week for house to not stink. Never had this problem with them but last 3 orders have been not right but If you bitch enuff some outfits hook you up.

I have a super small phenotypeQ4(first pic and 5thpic sorry submitted without arranging)...well don't know if female yet but will soon. But If Anybody has seen this type in the Querkle strain let me know she has been vegging for good month and a half and doesn't care how far from light........... She just stays short and stacked. SUB COULD YOU HELP???
Clones took root well going from Wal-mart hydro cloner to Light warrior soil. You can tell when the roots explode because there leaves get there green back and then start to fade again because LW is pretty weak, But is what I want and works good.

Plants are looking good Organic!! I finally sprouted my 5 Querkle seeds and they are all beginning to poke out of the peat pods. I can't wait to see how they veg. Have you seen any white hairs coming from the pre-flower? I'd imagine that you'll be able to sex them soon.

TheOrganic

Not that I noticed yet but will look tonight. Is this always the case though? I've never dealt with males but I see them grow in the ditch all the time. But no white hairs that I noticed.
I don't think I could go by that anyway not knowing for sure unless I flowered. So determining now is not really a need.

Finally fan came....I think some of those hydro guys in cali should lay off the pipe when pulling orders:lol: cause they sent me 4in ducting first time. Its the first thing I thought of them getting baked as hell and screw that up:bigjoint:. All good though thought it was funny.

Just Kicked them all in flower 7/29. Added some FFOF/LW to top them off from soil settling.
Also Just an hour ago I had a twinkle catch my eye and got the magnifier out and about 3 of them have trichs just starting kinda all over the centers of new growth if that makes sense. They did veg for almost 2months.
Also took a bud pic of G13 Blueberry Bubblegum....and she is smelling like bubble gum right now.
Too bad I missed my run with SS but I guess when I do I won't be wasting it on males.
There is the Q2 that I wanna scrog and maybe one other they are so bushy and a lot of middle veg is gonna be shitty buds if I don't spread it out.
