hmm i know a lot of people say 6 weeks veg on this strain really makes a difference in bud density and yield. i think i even read that sub likes to let it go for two whole months. you got journal for that querkle rzza? id like to get a preview of what i can hope for a few weeks from now :) im doin an organic soil grow with huboldt nutrients organic line plus some of the inoculants under a 8 x 4' 65w 6500k bulb t5 and then onto 2 x 600w hp. bagseed loved the t5. nice tight node spacing noticibly better than the hps. they also love the humboldt nutes. cant seem to burn this current batch if i tried

So what does Querkle look like when grown out my the average grower without fancy cameras and labs?

I think we have a winner!!
hey sub. can you remember what day this pic was taken on? the one above it you labeled day 50. im wondering exactly how many days you let them go for.

also do you start counting when you switch to 12/12 or after you sex them?

sorry if its been asked before.

I have no idea its a picture someone else took that was growing Querkle

yes I start when I go 12/12 anything else would not make any sense

I recommend all plants be topped to produce more growing heads in the best light, but Querkle is a very slow growing plant and if you top it early its going to recover slow and take its sweet time. Time is not an issue with us in a 3 part set up and I like the shape of a topped plant but just know its not a fast growing plant and if its left untooped its massive shade leaves will shade the lower shelf so you will need to thin a few of those massive sun leaves.

These are Querkles from a 20 seed run we did when we went looking for male plants to work with.

These are the girls we got from seed like 12 of em total.
Hey sub any pics of the males from this run? what criteria did u use for the selection for the deep purple. i think i read somewhere a purple male. when does the male turn colors if at all? what percentage of the males turned?

What were we looking for was the male that exhibited the most Urkle Like traits as well as passing on the lavender taste and smell.

There were actually two versions of Deep Purple the strain we used to test the results of the male selection.

The male that we ended up keeping was nick named "Doc" and in veg displays glandular stalks and smells like grape funk.

This male was used to create Qrazy Train, Void, Black Dahlia, and Qleaner

Thanks a lot for the response my good man. ur a gentleman and a scholar. from looking at these i would say my boy is most like dopey by looking at the leaves. the size shape and double serrations look similar to the one u had. its beatuiful me growers like me to be able to go back and look at urs pics like this and compare. you r doing great things for the plant we love. i know it doesnt mean much but keep up the good work ur the best in the game right now and im not close to alone in my opinion. So far i like him good pollen. I chucked some on a sweet smelling girl i have. and a sour smellin kush gonna see what it do. im usin ur method to test my male and see what traits he passes on. thanks for all the info bro u simplified a lot for me breeding wise. i just cant wait to get some TGA females I placed 3 orders with the tude and 3 duds so im gonna try to see if i can change my order over to some plushberry if they let me

wondering if anyone has used this strain in sog. Im not in an MM friendly state and trying to get the best turn around using this querkle strain. I have a few other strains but this is my first tga strain and ive read every post by subcool on the net. Its harder to find information on sog and hydro with his strains do to organic bias. I have a sog room for income and a soil room for personal. just looking for more input on growing this strain

IMO if you will sacrafice yeild for quality go for it. Fair amt of popcorn buds, lower yeild in comparison to some others. search 400 watt querkle grow, we have 3-4 people or so comparing

When I was growing this strain, I was training them through veg and flowering stretch into plants that would produce 4 colas and no popcorn. I like 4 1 ounce on a stick buds from them. The plants were finishing about 1.5' tall in 3gallon smart pots and coco. There was no popcorn. They were grown in a dense uniform canopy on tables. This leads me to believe that you could SOG this strain quite well. You just have to learn the cutoff when to stop pruning lower stuff in flowering stretch and just do their thing so as not to sacrifice yield in pursuit of producing no popcorn. This was on 4000 watts.

One of the phenos that I had tasted exactly like Watermelon Jolly Ranchers on the green hit.

i got 4 querkle beans a few monthes ago, popped them and got 3/4 females. my camera isnt that great. but i got 1 urkle dom, 2 spave queen dom, one of the space queen dom is more purple and has diffrent looking buds. querkle not my heaviest producer in the garden but i have yet to dial in my grow room. Its producing nice solid purple nuggets i just wish i could get them bigger. 48 days now. so hopefully in the nxt week they plump up. I plan on doing a 7 day flush and cutting down at like day 60.

i took 5 clones of querkle that are vegging now. Looking forward to run this again! Next time im going to top like 2 or 3 times..
