Just an fyi, i’m soon going to be replacing the other half of the DE’s with the gavita 1930e’s. Hate to leave too bro.

It’s looking like a 20% power savings over the DE hps. Pretty good. Fuck our power company.

What i don’t get is how heads on here go from single ended to LED. I mean that’s a good call but. Where the hell they been? Single endeds got left in the dust by the double ended like 6-7 yrs ago.

I'm really curious on where in my reply I am making assumptions about you and why you feel troll shamed, I've done neither, which is fairly obvious if you reread my reply.

I'm sorry if you feel singled out by me replying to your statement, but nobody called you a troll. Reread the reply, there is no "picking on" going on there.
My suggestion is you do your own tests if you're serious about this and form your own opinion.

Got left behind, new tech. I remember payphones on every third block.still dont own a cell phone. Dont want one.l almost missed out on blurples totally. But growing with leds is a game changer for anybody.

@Aeroknow I'm thinking of running the 1930e myself which would be replacing a room full of De's. Do you have a journal on the forums? I tried to search but your set to private.

No journals. I really don’t have time for that.

I swapped out 8 of my DE’s with the 1930’s. 2 crops later, 1 that was half DE and the last was all LED,
Pretty much the same yield from the 1930 as the DE at 1000w’s. Not equal to running DE’s at 1150w’s though. Pretty much just as advertised.
I have a crop i’m about to chop. 1/2 DE, half 1930. Both sides look almost identical. If i get a chance this morning i’ll snap some pics.

Wow that’s great news that the 1930 is pulling about the same weight as a 1000w de hps.
When you say pretty much, what’s the weight difference.
Also what weight are you hitting per fixture?

I’m pretty disgusted if i get less than 3lbs with DE’s in my larger setups. I’ve hit 4z
I don’t have time to take pics when lights out so sorry for that.

Well the truth is the very best indoor growers...the ones with the most experience were doing this well before LEDs were worth jack. So all the best growers from 10+ years ago learned and mastered HID lighting. Being a master at something requires time.

LEDs have obv benefits to new growers, the simplest being safety. That has nothing to do with end quality but explains why so many skip the cheaper option.

From a quality standpoint I have yet to see or believe anybody grows BETTER cannabis with LEDs. They may grow more, it may be more cost effective, but actual quality is not BETTER.

This from a relatively new grower, only grown myself with LEDs. Have observed HID grows for decades. Have sampled from around the country/world for 35yrs.

Simply put, it is different. The gent about to go from HPS to a Diablo will be able to keep plants at a foot away vs HID distance. What an adjustment to get used to!

Quantum boards do great. But to think they are better or worse...its just another option.

For most people who live in climates with 4 seasons or in particularly cold climates, there is another obvious option of both, changing them out for seasons. That's more work, but for those with cold climates I cant imagine a more efficient setup than HPS in the cold and LEDs when it gets warm.

There are also places that are warm all year round and central AC never turns off. Don't forget those

I lived in Florida for 5 years. I often think about how much A/C it must take to keep a large grow cool. In my days in Fla, most grows were still outdoors as few had indoor setups yet. I laugh when I hear about "Triangle Kush" as if there was one special strain running around the state. Back then there was one bomb, the Krippy, which was an Afghani strain imported through Miami. The rest were just killer strains that great growers handled. I mean, I havent spent time in the Florida thread if there is one, but HTF did anybody ever make it to harvest outdoors in FLA? Must have been incredibly mold resistant strains!

So because I asked where are the side by sides you all seems to jump to claiming they exist...means I am questioning LEDs?? You see your assumption and deflection from the actual question at hand. A question that I did not bring up out of the blue. Asking for results someone openly claimed are so prevalent and apparent ... then having multiple people attempting to also claims its truth, but having ZERO results to show. And when asked for them in no other way than" Where are they"...I am the one being "aggro"? I am literally just asking for ONE of the DOZENS allegedly out there clear as day?

What seems aggro is a group of individuals coming together against a person who is asking for what they said they had?
