Qrazy Train from seed

I've used an inline booster fan. they are no where near as strong as say that 6" 400cfm that you have drawing air into the tent, but they will help push the cold air from the ducting into the tent. I think something like a 400cfm fan would be just a little too much, and the way that you have the ducting spliced it could even pull air from other parts of your house.

You should be fine with a 4" inline bro rated at 172cfm bro. Just might pull a little more air off that one line you got it "spliced" into, making whatever room that it goes to a bit less air conditioned but the unit itself will suffer no harm.

They have them on sale at Home Depot. I think there like 20 bucks for a set with 4 levels.
Do they stack one on top of the other? I'm thinking those would be good for a gravity fed drip/blumat setup with a large res on the bottom and a small res up high? like 5'-6"

BTW, is there a reason you're not using insulated duct? it will help keep the hot air hot on it's way out and cold air cold on it's way in. They make covers for hoods too but you could always DIY something similar out of car windshield reflector http://www.hydrowholesale.com/Reflectives-Components-and-Lighting-Accessories/Sunlight-Supply-Sun-Shield-Reflector-Cover-for-Cool-Sun-6.asp

The only hot spot I get is directly under the lights. It will be 79 at plant level but 70 right on top of the hood and elsewhere in the tent so it's just moving air on the plant level in my case that needs to be worked on.

So I realized the other day my filter is actually a 6 inch, It was packed away and I hadnt seen it in a while and when I pulled it out of the box I didnt even look at it. So like I originally planned but somehow spaced out and convinced myself it was an 8 inch. (Must be that Qrazy Train Ive been smoking on lol)

So that means the 6 inch fan I have at the bottom of the tent will be reversed to pull air out with the filter. So I will have a 4 inch intake fan. The air conditioning ducting is also 4 inches while in the tent. Would I be able to put a Y in front of the inline 4 inch so that it blows through the Y. Then hook up the a/c line to the next arm of the y so they push through and have one outlet for the tent. Sort of like this in the picture. Now I would imagine if I left the fan on while the a/c was going the fan would create a vacuum and pull the a/c air out faster as if it had its own booster fan. I know it would mix with the other air from outside the tent but I think it might make a difference and declutter ducting.

Im also pondering ducting the 8 inch fan to outside of the tent so that the 4 and 6 inch fans can do their job and maybe ill be able to control environmental factors even further with 300+ less cfms pulling out of my room on what will be a 172 cfm intake fan and a 400 cfm exhaust for the 6 inch.

Instead of venting the AC directly into the grow tent, couldn't you have it cooling off the air surrounding the grow tent. and then you could hook up a day/night thermostat to an inline fan to draw cold air into the tent? or do you have your lights exhausting into the surrounding room?

that is what I ended up doing. My tent was getting too cold having the AC blow into it. plus i couldn't control it for the tent since the AC was used for other rooms. i just hooked it up to draw in cold air from the room that it was in and my light fan is exhuasted outside the room.

With the a/c Ive been averaging like 75-77 degrees under the light so if anything I wish I could squeeze out a few more degrees to get under the light temps down to 73 with one light.
Thats why Im actually excited once again for fall so I can get cool night temps to cool the grow room for free. When I was doing my 2x4 earlier in the journal it was in the room I slept in so come December I had my window wide open every night till spring to get perfect temps in the tent but have it be around 49 degrees in the room itself when I wake up lol. Im just more worried about having a shut off on the y pipe when it comes time to keep the house warm. I may disconnect the attachment for the winter until we start running a/c again. The grow tent areas above and not directly under the lights seem to stay constant with the temps outside of the temp usually sitting at 71-73 degrees.

I gotta say sitting in that tent silent just watching the plants blow in the cross winds of the tent for a few minutes after my morning bowl is just the most relaxing thing I have done. Granted I was waiting for any temperature changes to appear as I was making minor adjustments to the air movement in the tent but the few minutes in between those adjustments were calming. ANYWAYS..... Brewed up some primordial goop as someone I knew once called it. Just a earthworm casting and dry molasses mix.

For only being 2 days ahead of the Qrazy Trains the Kabooms have rocketed off and are huge in just the short 2 weeks since they popped their seed casing.

Around day 21 I am thinking about sexing the plants then topping once they show sex and transplanting them into either 5 gallon or 7 gallon fabric pots.

Id really love for anybody who has any intelligence to let these base heads know that topping will give u smaller buds but more of them so u cud yield more yes but regardlessnur buds r still smaller. Ur buds look like my nuts. Little tinyy 5 grams dired u cuda had 15 gram buds if u didnt top. But w.e u guys who read threads and haw no actualy expoerence with topping and dont know wht really happens lol.. Come on guys.. R u really that fucking stupid lol toppin makes ur buds bigger read the threads! Lol dumb fucks
Why, really, would you prefer 1 big bud, to many smaller buds, if you yield more with the smaller buds?
Aren't you going to break the big bud up anyway?
