QB96 Elite V2 w/ SSTX heatsink question

These are the types of comparison grows I really want to see. What feels like a constant release of new lights from HLG it leaves me wondering what is the actual difference and do I really need to upgrade from my original 288's. I'm assuming your 288's are the V2? Visually the tents look almost identical. Was the light output kept the same as well?
V2s here..

Tried my best to match intensity (~1050 ppfd), red spectrum, and inputs/procedures...

This grow shows you can’t go wrong with either light...

Harvest will tell how close they perform when either light is supplemented appropriately for emerson and initiator effects.

Imo, except for diff type diode in 96 vs 288, hlg’s new white leds are tweaks in efficiency, lenses, and/or addition of supplemental spectra...you can supplement your v1s with1 qb 18 or 35 per pair of 288s and separately controllable far reds, to get everything and more than the latest and next version hlg qbs provide, at a somewhat higher electrical usage....

If you want new lights go for it, but you can mimic what they would give you for less than a whole new setup...

I'll be sticking with what I have for awhile longer. Your grow showed me what I wanted to see.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding...we have a winner!

Great job dude!...the lights are good, but still need a good grower to make those.....
Thnx man! Looking foward to seeing your work with those PrawnBoards. Id love to run one. Been pushing for the 400-440 nm to be attended to for yrs now.
420 being highly absorbed by our girls. Way more then the 450 white leds are made of.
These 96's just gave me results (yet to harves) i was not expecting. Very pleased!

Thnx man! Totally wasn't expecting that plant to do that. Its a first timer & is only in a 5 & was 2/3's shorter then that going in. Guess we still get enough stretch w/ all the blue in 4k as long as you have the right red balancing it. Strain too of course.

Here is the first plant from each tent - green crack. Which is which light, how many grams, wet, of bud? Gallon ziplocks are trim.

The black plastic is 32” up/down, 45” left/right.

Imagine ten 2 inch mains, of solid bud, 28” long...each light...

Original Glue (GG4) wet weights: 96 lhatvested yesterday, left; 288 just harvested, right...

A footnote: interpret wet weights how you want, but dry wt is what matters, there maybe a density issue, second, the 96 OG was a weaker plant than the 288 one.

The results are what they are, but if i were making a buying decision, i think, so far, that the green crack results are more representative.

That is: fewer but bigger buds under the 96, more but smaller & more uniform buds under the supplementef 288; for similar wet weights.
