QB288 V2 Rspec Quantum Board Driver Questions

I’m going to be ordering an HLG-260w-V2-Rspec double slate setup. My question is about the driver to pick. I see two common choices, HLG-240H-C2100 or the HLG-240-C1050. I know both will work but I’m trying to figure out which is better to run and why?

The c1050 wouldn't work very well, will run both boards in series at low power.

Both these drivers are CC drivers, most try to match up their boards to a CV driver.

This is the setup I would like. Buying the 2 boards with heat sink cost $185. Buying the driver would be around $70-$80. Buying it as a kit cost $350, so it’s a no brainer on just building it. I have everything needed to wire them up. I just keep reading conflicting opinions on what driver to choose. What would you recommend and would you care to explain please? That pic don't help very much, you need info on voltages of the boards also seems like they're mostly sold out.
Afaik you're best bet would be
Hlg240h-c2100 with either A or B suffix, B for external dimmer. For series build
Or
Hlg240-48A (built in dimmer and voltage regultation. For parallel build.

Sorry about that, should’ve been more diligent about the information. They’re the QB288’s. I have another setup right now with two QB272’s on a HLG-240H-C2100B. The QB288 seems like a good board. I want to dim both board setups to 200 watts in my 3x3 for 400 watts total. Specs for the QB288 below, hope this helps.
SPECIFICATIONS
  • Two QB288 V2 Rspec
  • One Slate 2 Double heatsink
  • Connectors rated 300V 9A
  • Dimensions 6.833" x 11.25
  • Max current per board 3000mA @ 54VDC

From what you copied it seems like you want the hlg240-54A
The hlg240h-c2100 would also work, but you need to connect boards in series

Quick cheat: you can use the drivers as per above, hlg240 suffixed either by c2100 or 54
The last letter, A or B, is what kind a dimmer they use: A is built in dimmer, accessible thru a little hole by inserting a screw driver.
B: off board dimmer that you have to buy and connect to dimmer wires. You'd need a 0-10V 100k ohm resistance pot for this type of dimming.

It’s funny you say that about cheating lol. I went thru a bunch of pictures on google and most of the really clear pictures have that last bit of information censored. The ones you can make out are always the c2100 or the c1050. That’s why I made the post. I wanted to see what people recommended and why so I could learn more about these drivers. They have so much information and it’s really overwhelming to be honest.

The 1050 drivers would have been for other boards, something with higher voltage. I remember absolute first hlg boards was +100V, maybe for them...
Makes some sense I guess to have a default picture so it’s harder for people like me to match. It’s crazy bc you end up saving like 80 bucks just buying everything separate. I’m not horribly cheap but $80 is $80.

So you think going woth the C2100B would be fine? From the looks of it I can definitely pull 200 watts from the driver for both boards, and I’ll put a dimmer on it.

Quick question
My driver died to run my 4x q 120 (luckily I had an old driver that can power 4 at less power or 2 at full)
I think I want to swap 2 panels out for qb272 (the new 288 rspec).
My 120s are the 4k spectrum for veg. Is this a waste of money before I spend the extra 110 for the panels and heat sync. Driver to run is same as replacement to run my 4 120s
