qb lights

Hi everyone
I have been an amateur grower for the last few years with success and failure. But thats what makes it fun. since legalization in Canada I will be doing both outdoor grow and indoor grow. My current indoor setup is a 2ft by 3 ft tent. I will be upgrading to a 4ft by 4ft tent. I am using the bestva 1000w grow light which I am going to replace with a quantum board light.the most plants I will have in the 4ft by 4ft tent will be four plants. I will keep my bestva light for my clones.i been reading a lot about the quantum boards but there is so many options on alibabe to choose from and I need your help on this. my question is what is the best quantum board(complete kit) on Alibaba site to go in my 4ft by 4ft tent that would grow 4 plants. If you have purchased the light from a buyer there that you could recommend with a link to the light would be great. Thank you

Just for your info .... those ali baba lights are not true quantum boards.
They “ use “ the brand name to push their knockoff boards.

It can be a gamble choosing a vendor that will actually sell you
EXACTLY what is offered. There are some growers doing pretty well with
some of these knockoffs but many have called out the fake ones.

Substitute chips instead of what you thought you were getting , fit and finish , actual performance ... etc.

Plus .... if those clone boards take a shit ... good luck trying to get any
customer service and repairs. Which usually includes you shipping back to mainland china ( at your cost ) for maybe some resolution.

HLG is the original and they take care of customers and products.
Going cheap sometimes gets expensive.

I have original QB boards running for now 4 years daily ( perpetual grows ) and that speaks volumes of HLG and their products.

What the heck is going on in your avatar pic? Eating a bowl of cereal? Is he eating cereal from what looks like a rolled up chip bag and using heavy cream as milk???

Lol WTF am I looking at?

At very worst, you'll get LM561c diodes rather than 301. Thats why when you order from Alibaba sensors, you actually choose LM561c. They're only like 6-8% more efficient and you pay quite a lot less for them.
So since you can't be certain of what you're getting, I would just pay for LM561cs and not dissapointed yourself.

Google Shenzhen Meijiu and find their alibaba page, then navigate to product categories and check out fogro v2 and fogro v3. Either the 600w v2 kit, or the 480w v3 would work well in a 4x4.

The v3's use the new LM301H diodes.

I'd link them but I don't have enough likes.

Its a dance .... with ANYTHING bought on alibaba , wish , even amazon.

Even here in the good ol usa , many vendors repackage nute lines as their own. There are even knockoff meanwells floating around.

Even data graphs , supposed ppf readings , specs , reviews, comparison charts , power , etc .... should be taken with a grain of salt.

Even the gas mileage on my new car is not what the sticker says.
TOO Easy to bullshit the consumer.

I heard from @EmeraldØsiris if he could do it over, he'd get strips rather than these boards again. He said something about being too wide and worry of it crapping out or somethin.
Nah, I'd get the strips for more even distribution of lux and temps. Otherwise, no complaints... It got really hot outside here, but I just dimmed doen and moved closer.

I generally dont buy full kits from ali: best value is in the boards only. Better to get drivers with someone youd like to have warranty, somewhere more local. Digikey is about the same price as ali for drivers.

As for the many alibubbas: Meijiu, R2T hk and Kingbrite seem to have good reputation on forums.

Check in the chinese knockoff build thread, there are several cookie cut builds if you like.

My advice on building with ali:
Leverage diode count and drive soft. Use twice as much board as HLG and Co and design your build so it wont need any heat sink.
We have done 2 grams/watt on 30w/square foot so they definitely grow, you just need to design it right.

I bought a light from meijiu (theyve been around for 7 years). I got what i ordered no problem. i ordered a 550 v2 clone. its working fine. it shipped super fast. if you could tell me the heatsink temperature of the real thing i would be interested in hearing that because the heat sink on the clone does get hot (up to 140F), but like i said its working fine, the plants love it, temperatures are still down from my old blurples, energy use is down, and i paid 2/5s the cost of a real one. meijiu's certificates are also verified so you know youre getting what is advertised.
